If you just got your brand new S26 Ultra and you’re looking for a case that doesn’t add a lot of bulk but looks super sharp, you should check out Thinborn’s aramid fiber cases. It’s extremely lightweight and also very thin at 0.9 mm while being durable thanks to the aerospace grade 600D aramid fiber build. You get rear camera lens protection thanks to precise and individual cutouts, a strong magnetic hold for maxave charging, and using maxave accessories. Both SPEN use and NFC use are unaffected even with the strong magnets. While this case looks fantastic on the S26 Ultra, there is a potential dealbreaker. So, let’s take a closer look. review. In the box, you get the aramid fiber case, a screen protector, and instruction manuals. The cases come in
Design
at between 20 to 22 g depending on the color. So, extremely lightweight. You can barely feel it in the hand. And the other thing is it’s extremely thin. So, if you do a side view, you can see just how thin that frame is. So, it’s about 0.9 mm thin. The aromat fiber build has a weave type of patterning going on. So, it does add a little bit of texture to help with gripability. On the rear, we have individual and precise lens cutouts. Here’s a side view. So, you can see the thick raised bezels do extend quite a bit up from above the back of the case. On the front of the case, the frame actually wraps or curves around ever so slightly to help keep the phone retained in the case. The top has a cutout along with two slits on the right and left side.
At the bottom, we have a huge cutout giving you easy access to the USB type-C port and the SPEN. And on the right side, we have another large cutout for the buttons. The inside of the case has the same aramid fiber build. And we do have smooth plastic where the lens will rest. So, there’s no chance of any type of rough surfaces. And we do have a protective type of peel here to ensure that the back of your phone remains undamaged. Note that on the colored cases, the thin logo is at the bottom, but on the Aramid fiber case, it’s on the side. Installing the
Case Install
S26 Ultra is really easy. So, first I’m going to start on the camera side module. Just tuck it into the corner here, then to the opposite corner. Press in all the way. And just like that, we’re done. And right away, this just looks so nice on the S26 Ultra. And the hand feel is extremely thin and sleek. It barely feels like I’ve added anything on here. Again, it’s so thin at 0.9 mm. and only around 20 g. This just looks and feels really nice. And this is what the S26 Ultra looks like in the wild navy color. And this is what the crimson color looks like. Let me know which color you guys think looks best, but I’m really digging the black and the crimson
Post-Install
color. The fit on here is extremely secure. Now, do note that I do have a pre-applied screen protector already on here. I didn’t use the one that came in the box. And even with that screen protector on here, the case still went on without any type of issues. And you could see the curved lip that goes around the entire frame of the phone along with the corners helps keep everything nice and securely retained in here. So there’s no fear of your phone just kind of popping out of that frame. It’s nicely held in place. And looking at a side view, it does seem that when it gets to the corners here, there is a very minimal protrusion so that if you were to place this kind of screen side down, you wouldn’t have to worry about your screen getting scratched.
And of course, there is an included screen protector in the box if you want additional protection. And looking at the phone from the frame side, you can see the lip extends ever so slightly as well. The rear camera lens looks so sharp with the precise individual lens cutouts. That’s one of the most precise cutouts I’ve seen on any case. So, great job there. Now, you won’t be able to run a lens protector because of that precise type of cutout and fitment. And that rear camera bezel extends high enough from the actual lens that if you were to place your phone lens side down on a flat surface, there’s no chance of it getting scratched. We have full access to the buttons on the side thanks to the large cutout.
And that goes for the USB type-C charging port, the speaker grill, and the S Pen as well, which is really easy to remove. And the hand feel is
Hand Feel
phenomenal on here. Again, it’s so thin at 0.9 mm thin and lightweight. It barely feels like you’ve added anything to the S26 Ultra. So, if you want a very sleek setup, this is going to be it. And the woven texture here of the Aramid Fiber really adds a lot of grip. Just a really nice looking and feeling case in

the hand. Chi wireless charging is also completely unaffected. And because we have those strong magnets in the case, you can also use Max Safe charging without any issues. And you can attach Maxafe accessories. And while the
Magnetic Mounting
magnetic hold is strong when using Macsafe accessories, it’s not strong enough to just mount the phone to metallic surfaces. Something to be mindful of. NFC use is completely

unaffected even with the strong magnets.
S Pen
Similarly, SPEN use is also completely unaffected by the magnets. The case does

have noticeable wobble since the rear camera bezel extends quite a bit. So, just something to be mindful of. Now,
Protection?
let’s talk protection. And this is that potential dealbreaker I mentioned at the start of the video. So, this case is great for protecting your phone from the occasional nick and scratch. You know, anytime it’s in your pocket or if you’re putting it flat down on a table or a surface like that. However, this case is not rated at all for any type of drop protection. And you can see since we have large cutouts on the bottom and on the side and we don’t have any type of, you know, air cushioned areas on here, this is not meant for any type of drop.
