Intro

If you just got your S26 Ultra and you’re looking for a slim and stylish protection, you should check out these cases from Banks. They’re made of durable Kevlar fiber for a super slim and lightweight hand feel while still being grippy. There’s an aluminum rear camera bezel to protect your rear camera lens and raised front bezels to protect your screen. You retain full wireless charging and thanks to the strong N52 magnets, you can also use Maxafe charging and Maxafe accessories. The NFC use and SPEN use is unaffected and it comes in a bunch of various styles to suit your taste. However, there’s one small compromise to be aware of. So, let’s take a closer look and a big thanks to Banks for sending these out

for review. In the box, you get the case. And here’s the names of the various cases on display. In the box here, we get the screen protector with installation guide, a large and small dust sticker, cleaning wipe, and cleaning cloth. The Armor Air Aurora
ArmorAir Aurora Design

case comes in at a very lightweight 24 g. Now, this is a combination 600D and 1,000D Kevlar fiber build, and it’s ultras slim at 1.02 mm thin. And that Kevlar fiber build makes it extremely grippy when you run your fingers along the back. And it also has a nice woven texture as well. And that also extends to the sides of the case. There’s a split cutout at the back for the rear camera lens. So, the left side has a large cutout and the right side has a smaller cutout. This is an aluminum raised lip or bezel to help protect your rear camera lens. And you can see that it extends by a few millimeters from the back of the case. There’s a large side cutout for all of the buttons along with a cutout on the top and a cutout at the bottom for the USB type-C port, the speaker grill, and SPEN access.
The inside is a very smooth type of finish as I run my fingers along. So, this will protect the back of your phone. And we also have a magnetic mounting ring to use Maxive charging and certain Maxive accessories. Now, if we do a close-up view of the corners, you can see that these actually wrap or curve inwards. and that’s to help keep your phone nicely retained in the case. Also note that the corners of the case do extend or protrude ever so slightly so that if you were to place this screen side down, there’s no chance of your screen getting

scratched. Looking at the armored tint case, so this comes in at around 27 g, so it’s a couple grams heavier than the Aurora case. This is using 1,00D Kevlar fiber and it’s a little bit thicker at around 1.16 mm thin. The other design aspects are pretty much the same as on the Aurora case, basically from every angle. And this feels just as grippy as
ArmorGrid ArmorPro Design

the Aurora case. The Armor Grid case comes in at around 36.5 g. Again, this is another Kevlar fiber build, but we also have a TPU frame on the side. And this is in the Obsidian Black. There’s an aluminum split camera cutout with raised bezels along with the Banks logo. And we also have a little emblem at the bottom. Running my fingers along the weave patterning on here, it’s actually quite grippy. And if you run it along the emblem, this is a raised emblem, so you can actually feel that. On the right side, we have protective button covers along with a cutout at the top and cutouts at the bottom as well. The other side of the button covers are nice and soft to protect your phone’s buttons from getting scratched.
The front of the case has raised bezels or protective lips that actually wrap or curve around to help keep your screen protected, so you’ll have more protection with the shock absorbing frame and corners on this case versus the Armor Air cases. The inside lining is very smooth to the touch to prevent your phone’s back from getting scratched. And we also have the strong M52 magnets for maxive charging and Maxive accessories. The Armor Pro
Montage ArmorPro Design

Montage case comes in at around 37 g. Now, this is a combination build with 600D and 1500D Kevlar fiber. And in terms of the grip, it’s very grippy, but it actually changes as you run your finger along due to the different materials. There’s montage art text at the very bottom left and we also have that same split aluminum rear camera lens bezel that also protrudes by a little bit. Aside from the different materials on the rear of the case, the design is basically the same as on the armor grid case. So, we have that same split lens cutout, the same type of cutouts at the top and at the bottom and the button cover as well along with the magnetic charging ring. To install the
ArmorAir Aurora Case Install

S26 Ultra on the Aurora case, so I’ll just start in the top right corner with the camera lens. Pop it in on the left, then at the bottom. And just like that,
Case Post-Install

we’re done. And the Aurora case pairs nicely with the S26 Ultra, especially in white. Now, you could see looking at the rear camera lens, that large cutout is going to allow you to run lens protectors, provided they’re not too thick. The fitment is also very precise, and even with the applied screen protector, you can still see that front lip or bezel still extends high enough from it, so you can still place this screen side down without any type of issues. The top cutout is precisely aligned. And that goes for the bottom cutouts and it’s very easy to get SPEN access. And of course, there’s no issues with button access. Note that while the left side of the rear camera lens bezel does extend past the height of the lens, it isn’t the same on the right side. In
Hand Feel

terms of hand feel, grip, and ergonomics, this feels really nice in the hand. Again, very grippy case. One of the grippiest cases that I’ve used, you know, really no problem just kind of manipulating it side to side, top and bottom. No issues at all. Very manageable. barely feels like I’ve added anything on her. And here’s what the
ArmorTint Post-Install

armor tint case looks like on the S26 Ultra. Now, this looks a little bit more minimalist than the Aurora case since it’s one solid color. However, in all other aspects in terms of the fitment, the cutouts, and placement of everything, it’s exactly the same. And it still has the same great thin hand feel and grippy type of texture as the
Montage ArmorPro Post-Install

Aurora case. And this is what the Montage case looks like on the S26 Ultra. So, a more stealth type of look with the black design. And you can see we still have tactile button controls as well. The top cutout is nicely centered. And that goes for the bottom cutouts as well. And it’s easy to grab access to the SPEN when you need to. The rear camera bezel has the same type of protection as on the armor air cases. So, the left side has the higher end of the bezel and the right side is more recessed. The front speaker grill remains completely unobstructed and you can see that we have full edgetoedge coverage with the screen protector. And even with the raised front bezel, it’s still easy to grab access to the quick panel whenever you need it.
While fitment is good overall, I did notice that on the right side, if I kind of pull this back, I can expose a bit of the phone’s frame, but I can put this back in. So, I’m not sure if this is just with the sample of the case that I have or if it applies to all of the cases. The other thing is I am running a screen protector. So, it is possible that the added height of the screen protector makes it harder for this front lip to just wrap around. Just something to be mindful of.
ArmorGrid ArmorPro Post-Install

And this is what the armor grit case looks like on the S26 Ultra. It actually looks pretty clean. Really nice looking case. And you can see we have the same type of large camera lens cutout so you can run a lens protector. You also have button covers. Again, same easy and tactile access to the buttons. And if you need to actually use the side panel, very easy to swipe out whenever you need it. The fitment is pretty good overall, but similar to the montage case, I did notice that I can kind of retract this by a little bit, then just push it into place. The top cutout and bottom cutouts are all nicely aligned as well. And it’s also very easy to get SPEN access. Using
Qi2 & Magsafe Charging

Chi wireless charging works flawlessly on all of the cases, and that goes for a max safe charging as well, thanks to the strong N52 magnets. If I want to use a
Magsafe Accessories

Mac safe power bank like this Bank’s power bank, I could go ahead attach it and it is going to start Maxave charging. And you can see the hold is very secure on here. I can just shake this up and down, side to side. Very strong hold. However, it is going to make contact with the bottom of the rear lens bezel. You can see right there. So, you will be able to use Maxif accessories. You just have to be mindful that they may make contact with the rear bezel. If I use this magnetic banks ring holder, you can see this snaps into place nice and strong and it doesn’t make contact with that rear lens. Again, extremely strong hold. And while the
Magnetic Mounting?

magnetic mounting ring is strong enough for Maxafe charging and using various Macsafe accessories, it’s not strong enough for magnetic mounting to most metallic surfaces. Using NFC or tap to
NFC

pay also works flawlessly on all of the
S Pen

phones. SPEN use is also completely unaffected by the magnets on all four
Protection

cases. Let’s talk protection. And this is one of the compromises I mentioned at the start of the video. So, if you go with the Aurora case or the armored tint case, you are going to get that raised rear bezel protection, the front screen protection. So, that if you place this down on a surface, you know, flat surface, you’re good to go. However, if you drop this phone, you won’t be protected in any way. There’s no type of shock absorbing, you know, features or built on here. If you need drop protection, you’ll have to go with the Montage case or the armored grid case. Those have up to 4 feet of drop protection thanks to the raised bezels and the shockabsorbing frame in corners. Due to the rear lens

bezel, there is significant wobble on
Glasswarrior Screen Protector

all of the cases. To install the glass warrior screen protector, place your phone lens side down. Use the wet wipe to wipe the screen and then use the drying cloth. Next, use the dust sticker to remove any dust. Next, you’re going to place the screen protector guide with top facing at the top. You’re going to seat it securely. Pull tab one all the way down. Wait a few seconds until you see the screen protector setting and then finally pull tab two. Then remove your phone and massage out any air bubbles and you’re done. And here’s what the glass warrior screen protector looks like on the S26 Ultra. So, the front speaker grill is completely unobstructed and we basically have edgetoedge coverage. Once a case is on here, we’ll have complete coverage on the front.
Here’s a comparison with the glass warrior screen protector on and off. So, it’s still easy to unlock the phone. The screen is still very responsive. The colors still look pretty vibrant, and the privacy display feature seems to be completely unaffected with it on. So, if

you’re after a super slim and sleek look and handle, you can’t go wrong with Banks Kevlar fiber cases. The Kevlar fiber build makes them extremely lightweight and durable while staying grippy at the same time. You can still use CHI2 wireless charging and the strong magnets let you use Mac safe charging and Mac safe accessories. And you can pair the cases with their glass warrior screen protector for even more protection.
