Intro
hey it’s Adrien and if you just got your s25 Ultra and you’re looking for a case for it I’m going to be putting cases from macback Pac and Taurus up against each other now all of these cases bring something unique to the table that the other cases don’t offer however after using all of them there’s one case that I think offers the most versatility so let’s take a closer look at all of these cases from macback Paka and Taurus and you can decide which is best for you
Design
let’s talk about the design first and I think it’s mostly going to come down to personal preference now the Paka case is built with lightweight aromate fiber coming in at only 28 G while still being scratch and impact resistant the textured weaving pattern offers great grip ability there’s individual camera lens cutouts which is what I prefer and you get easy access to all of the ports and spin it’s also the slimmest hand feel of all the cases so it doesn’t feel like you’re adding much bulk the Taurus oand spin case has a mostly PC TPU and aluminum alloy build coming in at around 49 G it’s made of a m and smooth finish on various parts of the case to ensure good grip ability there’s a large camera module cutout versus the individual lens cutouts it has a built in 360° rotatable kickstand and it adds some bulk to the overall handfield the macback cases have two noteworthy versions a classic case and a new elite case so the classic case comes in at around 63 G and the elite case comes in at around 61 G so pretty similar now the elite case is made of PC and TPU and the classic case is most mostly made of TPU however the elite case has an additional silicone side strip on the right and left side for enhanced grip ability the elite case also has a built-in finger Loop a built-in kickstand a pinky rest that doubles as a USBC port cover both cases add some bulk to the phone and you will notice this in your pocket
Protection
when it comes to protection all of the cases will protect your phone when placed either screen side down or camera lens side down however the magb back classic and elite case offers the most protection because they have really thick bezels and materials all around to protect the camera camera lens and Screen both of the macback cases also have the highest rated drop protection at 12 ft and both of the cases also have a soft microfiber in lining to protect the rear of your phone from scratches the Taurus oand spin case also has thick bezels for the front screen and rear camera lens and it’s rated for drops of up to 8 ft the Paka case offers the least protection due to its minimal design and the exposed areas of your phone due to the large cutout on the side of it and at the bottom so both of the macback cases win in this area thanks to the 12T drop protection in
Hand Feel
terms of hand feel I’d say the Paca case has the best hand feel due to the textured woven aramid fiber build and it’s also very slim and lightweight at 28 G next would be the macback elite case because while it does add some bulk and weight it also has silicone side grips or side strips along with a pinky rest to help with grip ability and the tapered sides also help keep it very ergonomic the Tes o sand spin case coming in at 49 G is also fairly grippy due to the matte sides on it but you do feel the added bulk due to the thick case and the macback classic case is the least grippy due to its overall smooth finish but the tapered sides do help with the handf and ergonomics even though it is the heaviest case at around 63 G so the pataka case is the winner if you’re looking for the slimmest and most grippy handfield when it comes to Wobble
Wobble
the macback elite case the macback classic case and the taus oan spin case have pretty much no wobble and that’s even with that built-in finger loop on the rear of the macback elite case now the pataka case has significant wobble due to its super thin build and the raised camera lens bezels on one side they’re not counteracted in any way
S PEN
Espen use is unaffected on all of the cases even with the magnets for Max saave charging and for use with Max saave accessories NFC use is also
NFC
completely unaffected on all of the cases if you use NFC frequently Chi
Wireless Charging
wireless charging and Max safe wireless charging work well on all of the cases however only the magb back Elite and classic case offer the most secure hold thanks to those super strong n52 strength magnets in them if you love
Magsafe Accessories
using Max safe accessories like I do all of the cases can also be used with Max safe accessories but again thanks to those strong m52 magnets the macback elite and classic case offer the most secure hold Additionally you can also use their Max stick accessory so you can secure your phone to almost any surface so let’s talk about magnetic mounting
Magnetic Mounting
now [Music] so when it comes to Magnetic mounting again due to those super strong n52 magnets in the magb lethan classic case you can attach your s25 Ultra anywhere metallic confidently and securely without fear of it falling off like a metallic shelf a stove range a ceiling vent a fridge while you’re cooking a really small metal clip holding a miror in your bathroom the possibilities are endless while the Taurus oan spin case can also be magnetically mounted a hard enough knock or nudge would easily loosen it and cause it to fall the Paka case has the weakest magnetic hold and I wouldn’t really trust it on most surfaces the other issue is because the rear of the Paka case is not flat or flush you can’t mount it horizontally you can really only mount it vertically so you have much less versatility so the winner are the macback cases since you can mount these horizontally vertically or anywhere in between let’s touch on
Unique Features
some of those unique features that each of these cases bring so the pacus claim to fame is that super slim and lightweight feel coming in at only 28 Gams it’s also the most grippy case thanks to the textured woven aramid fiber build but you do sacrifice allaround texure the tus oan spin case has a really robust and well friction 360° rotating kickstand so that whenever you can’t magnetically mount it it’s still very convenient you can use the kickstand for horizontal and vertical viewing the macback plastic has a super strong magnetic hold that just can’t be beat thanks to those strong n52 magnets and it also comes with a built-in screen protector in the actual case that could be used as a screen protector applicator guide which is super neat however the macback elite brings the most features including the same strong magnetic hold as the macback classic case it also has a built-in kick stand for vertical and horizontal viewing when it can be mounted magnetically there’s also a built-in finger Loop for even more grip and it also stows a way quick and flush in seconds so you can use max safe charging and Max safe accessories without any worries it also comes with a built-in screen protector in the box which can also be used as the applicator guide and the screen protector is still super fued when it comes to fingerprint unlocking and responsiveness while you can customize the button colors on the macback classic case on the macback elite case you can customize the button color the silicone side grip color the finger Loop color the pinky rest color and if you wanted a super minimalistic look to your case you could remove all of the silicone accent pieces so you have just complete versatility so which
