hey guys today I’m just gonna be giving my thoughts on the Osmo Mobile to base so this is the base for the new Osmo mobile I’m not I don’t actually have the first Osmo mobile so I’m not sure if this would be compatible with that but I got this one when I went to China and it actually does work very well I only have one complaint about it which I’ll get into just now I just to show you what it comes with so that’s just the base you know sort of secure it you’re just gonna put the put the Osmo mobile on her sorry about the lighting and then you just screw down into the bottom and it’s a very secure snug fit no issues there and I know most people they are just going to be using this you know when they want when they want their phone or the mobile dosmo mobile to just be standing still they just don’t want it to tip over but you know if you’re gonna be using it for you know variety of things that they you’re out and about you want to record something but then when you you know say you go in a restaurant you sit down and you want a video the food or anything like that then you’re gonna want to put it on the table so it is kind of you know annoying if you have to take it off put it on every single time it would be nice if you could just leave it on and then you know carry it around while the base is on and that’s actually the one small complaint I have about it which is because because the the Osmo mobile sits in here so deep and you know this lip comes all the way up here when you’re actually holding the Osmo mobile in your hand you know your wrist it’s down at this base here and you know because it’s so thick because this comes up so much you know you be you know yeah exactly because this is so thick your hand can’t all the way at the bottom of the base of the mobile so when you’re actually using the controls the joystick or you know the record button on there you have to kind of move your fingers way down you know versus if you didn’t have the base here because your hand sits lower so it’s it’s more natural to user controls but once this is on you know then you have to kind of move your fingers down to compensate for that but other than that it works great and I know most people aren’t gonna connect it to the mobile when they’re you know walking around but if you did want to have that option where you could you know use it walking around it and go inside and set it down you know that just that just makes it harder to use while you’re walking around and it’s a – but other than that it’s solidly made and it works well it’s not an even or anything so yeah if you’re looking for something like that definitely go ahead and try it but you know you can probably get the they’re just a tripod and stands you know maybe you can get one of those that are cheaper and it should prevent that issue that I’m describing because it’ll just connect directly to the base and you won’t have this lip alright guys thanks bye alright guys so I just want to demonstrate what I was talking about earlier when I reviewed the base for the Osborne well – so here it is with them mounted so the issue I’m describing is if you did want to take this you know out with you and you didn’t want to have set out to remove the base all the time when you hold the you know when you’re holding the big imbel – to use these buttons there it’s a very unnatural feeling because you you have to arc your finger down so you know it’s a bit it’s a bit unnatural maybe it doesn’t look like that but you know it’s a significantly more effort to angle your fingers down to you know quickly pan or zoom in or something like that whereas when this base isn’t here you know inside of your hand being here your hand is here and it’s easier to reach everything it’s much more natural vs.
but it’s here you know you’re you know it’s a bit of an extra effort so it does delay you a little bit versus if you have no base your fan is here and then you can easily just reach everything you know other than that it’s pretty good if you’re you’re not going to be using this you know to walk around and you’re just gonna be using it for its intended purpose which is just to have it sitting somewhere just to sit and rest of them alright thanks guys bye
