hey it’s Adrian and if you have a security camera a trail camera or you need to use any type of 4G router but you won’t have access to Wi-Fi and you need to use a SIM card for internet connectivity then you should definitely check out eiot club’s SIM cards offerings now I recently got this yui s330 4G camera and this can use both Wi-Fi and a SIM card but what I’m going to do is I’m going to test out this eot club SIM card in this camera just to see if I place this somewhere kind of remote or somewhere without Wi-Fi say you have a cottage or some kind of vacation home and see how well it does all right so
SIM Card Types
the first thing you’re going to want to do is to go to the eiot club website and then you’re going to choose the type of SIM card that you want so on the website you can shop by Network and it’s broken down into USA double Network you can use USA triple Network and that’s going to give you access to the three largest carriers in the US then you can also do Europe and UK and USA and Canada as well now I’m just going to go into USA Triple Play Network just so you can see the pricing so the cool thing is that you can start off with a trial plan of 100 megab and once you activate it or start using it you have 7 days to do that so you can pop it into your device confirm that it works before you actually go on the website or the eiot club app on your phone and then refill it so you can actually refill it you don’t have to order another sim card now you can see the plans here are you know $6 us to start with the trial plan of 100 megab then you can go into 2 GB for 30 days for about 20 us and then finally you can go up to you know pretty much a year for 24 GB which is great you know if you have some kind of vacation home and you just want it kind of running the whole year around now another thing to note is that there is also this newer bis Globe link SIM card now if you click on that you could see on this one it actually connects in over 200 countries and you can get 5G speeds on this one however with the other ones you’re just getting 4G speeds and it’s kind of just limited to the areas where it mentioned either USA Europe you know the UK and Canada now what you can do if you want to refill is click on refill at the top of the website and then you’re going to see an area where you can enter in your sim card ICC ID number so I’m just going to do that right now hit search and then it’s going to pop up the details so it shows that the status on mine shows that it’s ready to use I don’t have an expiry date right now and it shows 0 megab use just because I haven’t activated and started using it so what I’m going to do next is just going to pop it into my yui security camera what you can also do is you can download the eiot club app on your phone and you can do the same thing you could do on the website right on your phone so right now I have the SIM card added to the app and if I actually tap into that I can see more details like the ICC ID number what I can also do is go into plan usage and I can see exactly what I have on here same as I could on the website but the other cool thing on here is there is a recharge reminder so you can set it to remind you at you know 70% 80% and 90% of the SIM card data utilization and then you know hey I have to top it up so you don’t experience any downtime there is also an option where you can just automatically renew this if you know you’re going to need to use the Sim Card indefinitely
SIM Card Use
all right so I have the SIM card inserted into my UPS 330 4G camera and you can see right now you’re seeing a live view of what’s going on outside my house and I have my phone connected to this portable monitor so you can see now what I’m going to do is I’m going to go into the options just to show you that right now it is using the data so you can see right now it shows to refill it and then I can just tap on recharge now and it says it’s going to redirect me to the eiot clubs website so that’s super handy now I’m just going to confirm and show you that it actually is connected to 4G so if I go into connection settings right now you’re going to see that it’s set to 4G and I do have the option to change it to Wi-Fi at the bottom so yeah considering it’s connected to the SIM card you know everything is going pretty smooth in terms of live view you know it loads up decently quick so this is really handy because you know if you have a vacation home a cottage just somewhere remote where you can’t have Wi-Fi easily accessible or if you want to use a 4G router on vacation or you know say at a rental home or a temporary accommodation this is an awesome option all right I’m back on the eiot club’s website and you could see that it shows that I have about a year till my data expires and I’ve only used about 35 megabytes and that’s because I’ve mostly been using Wi-Fi on the security camera but I know that in the event my Wi-Fi ever goes down I can just switch into 4G like I showed in in the yui app and then I’ll be good to go to communicate with my camera and then of course I can just go down into plans and always recharge this or top it up as I need so if you’re
