Intro
If you’re looking for a flagship gaming mouse without paying flagship prices, the UINE S7 Ultra gaming mouse is worth checking out. It uses a Pixart Paw 3950 sensor that you’d find in many other top tier gaming mice. It has up to an 8000Hz polling rate and there’s also an 8K receiver for wireless use as well. It uses Omron mechanical switches and it has smooth gliding feet for fast-paced FPS games. It’s also fairly lightweight at 59 g. You could use it in wired mode. 2.4 4 GHz wireless mode and Bluetooth mode as well. There’s an 800 mAh rechargeable battery, driver support, and even web-based driver support as well, and an adjustable DPI switch. Now, all of that sounds great, but let’s take a closer look at how well it performs and if this could be your very next gaming mouse.

Design
S7 Ultra gaming mouse comes in at around 59 g, and that’s with the 2.4 GHz dongle in the body. If you remove that, then you shave off about 1.7 g or so. I have the white version, but it also comes in black and pink as well. We have a hard shell and what they call a nano ice skin coating. And you can see as I angulate the mouse around, it’s not reflecting a lot of light because it’s not very reflective or a glossy finish. But at the same time, I wouldn’t say it’s a super matte type of finish. Now, if I run my fingers here, you can see my fingers are kind of like skipping a bit. That’s because of the friction with, you know, my skin oils and things like that. So, it is fairly grippy as is.
But if you’re someone who has, you know, really sweaty fingers or, you know, kind of palms, it does actually come with additional textured kind of soft rubberized grips. And these have a soft rubberized type of finish. As I run my fingers along them, it actually feels really pleasing to touch. And then we also have this kind of angled pattern going on here to help with grip even more. The right and left buttons are about standard length, I would say. So, you should still be able to use this with a claw grip type of hold. But of course, it’s going to be much easier to actuate that click if your fingers are further out. The scroll wheel has a rubberized finish along with horizontal ridges going across to help with grip and texture.
There’s an LED indicator light and that’s going to tell us which DPI setting we’re in. The side of the mouse has the UIN logo and we also have two shiny kind of glossy reflective buttons for front and back functionality. The side buttons stick out just the right amount for easy clicks without accidental clicking. The top back of the mouse has the UEN logo. This is nice and flush. There’s nothing on the other side. And on the underside of the mouse, we have the two large feet or skates along with a DPI button that’s tactile. There’s also the sensor and a switch to turn the mouse off or use it in wired mode. Put it into Bluetooth mode or the 2.4 GHz connection. And then we also have a compartment here. So, you can just go ahead open that up and you have access to the 2.4 GHz USB dongle.
And the front of the mouse has the USB type-C port for using wired mode or to charge your mouse back up. So I have
Ergonomics
about mediumsiz hands and if I do a side view, you can see as I grip it, the mouse conforms or curves nicely with the palm of my hand. Now if I do a top down view, you can see that my index finger is not protruding outside of the button. So this is nice and planted. However, my middle finger is protruding a little bit outside of there. So it’s not something that’s going to really affect me. But if you have larger hands than mine, then yeah, this mouse may be a little bit on the smaller side for you, unless you’re using more of a claw type of grip.

Gliding
The S7 Ultra also glides effortlessly even on my desk that has kind of a matte finish and even without a mouse mat. You
Connectivity
can connect the S7 Ultra by Bluetooth mode which is going to give you up to 175 Hz return rate and you can connect it in wired or the 2.4 GHz dongle mode. And the return rate is going to be a th00and hertz by default. Now, if you go ahead and use it with the 8K receiver, then you can have up to 8K return rate

Sensor
The S7 Ultra uses a Pixart Paw 3950 sensor, and I’ll leave an image on screen so you can see how well it compares to other models in their
Driver Settings
lineup. To configure the S7 Ultra, we could download the software, install it on our computer, or we could go ahead and use their web dashboard. So you have a lot of the same settings you would find in the software, but for now I’m going to prioritize using the dedicated software. So once you open it up on the home screen here, you’ll just click on the mouse. You could see the current battery life if you’re using it in Bluetooth or the wireless mode, but since I’m using it in wired mode, it’s showing that it’s charging. You can also create different profiles. And then you can just have, you know, the keys remapped for specific profiles. You can import and export those as well. So right now um for the right click you could see these are the different options that you can remap it to.
So you have a whole bunch of uh options there. You can also set the key debounce time. Just reset everything. We can also jump into DPI and you can see I can go all the way up to 8,000 hertz for the report rate. Um that’s because I’m in wired mode, but you can also use that 8K receiver as well. Now for DPI, we have increments of 8 uh 1,600, 2400, 32, 64, and 2600. And you can see if I press the DPI button, the light just kind of corresponds with those uh settings there. And what you can do is you can actually go ahead and dial this in by increments of 50. So if you didn’t want this to be uh 800, you can go ahead, you know, start it higher and then just really customize that exactly how you like. And you can also change your DPI counts as well. You can also record macros if you need to.
And under config, you could set the mouse liftoff distance as low as 0.7 millimeters to 2 millimeters. And you can change the sensor drawing performance, ripple angle, motion s glass mode. Sensor modes, you can switch it from like office or kind of general use high, gaming, berserk. And then sleep, you can set it to never sleep or you can sleep, you know, up to 10 minutes. You can restore factory settings, change the doubleclick speed, uh the scroll type, whether it’s going to be, you know, kind of like three lines at once or more. And then you can also set for it to scroll one page at a time. And you can also enhance pointer precision or disable that and change the mouse movement speed. Under the settings, you can change the language from English to Mandarin.
You can have the program launch at startup and you can check for firmware updates as well.
Gaming
The S7 Ultra is solid for gaming. It felt super responsive. All of the clicks were very tactile. I didn’t feel like I had any type of input delay or any misclicks at all. I was able to flick and track quickly, which is great for fast-paced FPS gaming. And it also glides smoothly even without a mouse mat just using it on my table. So, if your current gaming mouse is holding you back, this will be a worthwhile upgrade.
Battery
There’s an 800 millia battery in here, but the battery life will depend on what you set the pulling rate at and what you set the sensor mode, whether it’s gaming
