Intro
If you’re like me and you hate carrying a full backpack every time you’re out and about, well, this case’s modular sling back system may be the answer. You can actually fit a ton of gear in this three pouch system, keeping everything nice and in their own compartments within easy reach. Since it’s modular, you can go from a one pout system for a light carry day all the way to a full three-piece loadout if you have a ton of gear to carry. But is it actually quick and easy to customize the pout system? And how secure is this entire setup really? Well, let’s take a closer look. And a big thanks to Tactical Geek for sending these out for review. The
System Design
Tactical Geek Caseis series is a three-piece system that consists of the Cache L6 shoulder bag, the block E6.0 bag, and the storage A8 bag. In terms of weight, the Cash L6 comes in at around 444 g, the block E 6.0 comes in at 144 g, and the A8 comes in at around 141 g.
Cache L6 Design
Looking at the Cash L6 shoulder bag. So, this is the heaviest and largest of the bags. The outer shell is made out of 500DX pack material. So, this is going to be pretty resistant to scratches, abrasions, and liquids as well. There’s a ton of storage on here. So, looking at the front, we have this Molly kind of Velcro loop type of system. You could just slide in a pen or any other type of gear. And then there’s a front pocket right here. So, if I unzip that, you can see it’s fairly deep basically all the way to the bottom here. You could put a phone in here, you know, a power bank, anything requiring quick access. And then at the very bottom, you can see we have that snap-on system.
So, what you would do, pull down on this pocket and you could lift up, giving you access to a larger pocket as well. And then when you’re done, just snap it right back into place and it just slides up. Very simple to operate. Note that we have zippers at the top here. And that’s because you can actually make the front more minimal if you want to. So, you have two configuration options for the front pockets. You also have the option to keep this front pocket nicely secured by looping it into the cutout in the buckle on the right and left sides. There’s a large middle pocket at the top with two zipper heads. And once you open it up, you’re granted with a ton of storage. So, this is a soft type of material. And we also have soft lined pockets as well for additional storage.
And I can fit something as large as this wireless microphone box in this middle pocket and still be able to zip it up. I’ve removed the shoulder strap from the back of the L6 just to show access to this other rear pocket that we have. And once you open that up, you have another good amount of storage. I’ve attach these shoulder straps to the mounting areas here. And you can see that once it slides and snaps into place, you can’t actually remove it unless you depress on those arrows and then simultaneously slide it out. So, it’s a very secure system once it’s mounted. And you can also remove one of the straps either from the right or left side and put it onto the mount here. So you have additional versatility depending on how you want to wear this.
And in the middle of the strap is the Fidlock system. So this has a strap that you lift up and it removes the magnetic buckle from the mounter. Now if I snap this back into place, that’s actually secure. And if you’re wondering how secure, I can, you know, yank on this. I can try to twist it diagonally. Just kind of angulate it in any direction. it will not actually detach or release from there unless I pull up on the strap. And you can see that’s very simple to do one-handed. The shoulder straps also have these two Velcro loops or tabs that you could use to tighten up excess material to run cables or whatever you need to. On the very bottom, we have an elastic cord that we can use to just keep a water bottle or a small umbrella stored in here. The block E6.0 is like a
Block E6.0 Design
mini cache L6. So, it’s the same exterior material that 500DX pack material. On the front, we have a Molly system. You could slide in pens, lighters, etc. Flashlight. And then we have a front pocket. Open that up. You have a ton of storage space there. There’s also a main middle pocket on the top with two zipper heads. And once that’s open, you have a ton of storage to store various type of tools. You know, screwdrivers, you know, drill bit heads, flashlight, micro SD cards, whatever you need to. So, you have a mesh pocket here, another area you where you could slide in gear. There’s a Velcro area up here and another large pocket right there. You can also store items right in the middle here and here as well. The back has another Molly attachment area and we have mounts to run a buckle.
So, you could use this either standalone or with the L6 system. And then at the very bottom, we have another elastic corded area. You could just, you know, run a flashlight or some other type of gear. The storage AA

triangular pouch comes in at around 141 g and it’s the same type of exterior build material. On the front, we have the Molly attachment system with this Velcro material. And there’s a zipper here. Opening that up gives you access to a triangular pocket along with an attached key ring so you can attach your keys. There’s a main middle pocket right here with two zipper heads. Once you open that up, you have a ton of storage. So, there’s a mesh pocket here and another pocket behind that. And there’s also another Molly attachment system on here to store additional gear. The rear has brackets or mounting areas to attach a shoulder strap. You can use this standalone or pair it with another one of Tactical Geeks systems.
And you can see we also have additional straps right here that you could detach if you want to. And there’s a carabiner clip here as well. The TG Belt 2 shoulder pad
TG Belt 2 Design
is an optional add-on if you just want additional padding. Now, this comes in at around 67 g. We have the Molly attachment mounting system right here. And then there’s a zippered area right here. If you open that up, it actually runs more than the length of the zipper. So, it actually extends all the way there and there as well. I would say about a good 12 cm. And it’s nicely padded as well with breathable mesh. To run your existing shoulder strap, you’re just going to lift up this Velcro area right here. run your shoulder strap through this channel and then secure it. Let’s talk
Customizing
customization because that’s kind of the claim to fame here versus if you were to get another system where it’s just like one pouch on there. So, the thing I really like is the Fidlock system with just, you know, one yank just like that. I can detach this and then it just magnetically clips back into place just like that. I can also slide all of the pouches to the front of my body for easy access to the pouches or I can just slide one of them there. I can also switch which shoulder I’m wearing it on. So that’s going to affect, you know, which bag I have access to. And you can even change the order of the pouches if you want to as well. The shoulder strap is also really long on here. So you can make it really loose.
You know, if you’re going to be wearing a jacket, say it’s winter time, and you really need that extra play or slack. Or you can really tighten this up so it’s very cinched up. And then you just have your pouches sitting closer to your body, higher up, and just to reduce sway while you’re walking. It’s also handy being able to position this in the front. Say you’re somewhere sketchy or if you’re worried about maybe a potential pickpocket behind you, you could just easily rotate this right to the front and you have full control in visuals of your pouches. You can also wear this system as a belt style or waist style system, kind of like a fanny pack. So you can have all three pouches on, just rotate it front or back anytime you need access.
And of course, you could slim down to one or two pouches as well. And it’s really easy to go from three to two pouches or to one pouch. Now, this is easier when you’re sitting down, but I did it standing up just to show it. So, you’re just going to press down on the retention clip, slide out the attachment, you know, clip from the mount, and then slide in the next pouch that you want in there. So, if you just want one pouch, just connect the shoulder straps. If you want two pouches, just connect one pouch to the other, then add the shoulder strap. It’s really easy to do on the go. I also really love that I could slim down this system as I go on throughout my day.
So, for example, if I have a snack in one pouch or I’m bringing something for a friend, once I eat that snack, once I give the thing to my friend, I could store that pouch in another pouch. So now I’m down to two pouches. And if I use, you know, the first two pouches, the triangular one and the smaller one, the block uh E6.0, I can just go ahead and fit those inside each other and then into the larger pouch, then I’m down to one pouch for a really minimal carry. Just tons of versatility. The other thing I really appreciate living somewhere extremely hot is that if I was wearing a backpack, you know, that backpack is covering my entire back. Plus, I have two straps on both shoulders, you know, kind of limiting air flow. With this, there’s much less covering my back.
So, you know, there’s just more air flow. It’s more comfy and it’s just one strap on here. So, when
Real World Benefits
I’m out and about, I find this to be a way more practical and convenient option than having a backpack on. So, anytime I’m entering the subway, I always have to take my backpack off, put it on the conveyor belt to scan it before I can enter. With this, I could just use one hand just detach this. I could just pop this right onto the conveyor belt. When it comes out on the other side, just snap that right back into place and I’m ready to go. The other benefit is if I needed to hand this over to a friend to just hold temporarily, again, with just one hand, I can just detach it, hand it over to them, just like that. The other thing I really like with this versus wearing a backpack is that the subways are always busy here.
So, every time I’m ready to exit at my stop, I have to squeeze through a bunch of people to get to the door. So, I kind of have to be, you know, aware of how much my bag is sticking out, so I’m not bumping into people. This is a much more slim and lowprofile system, so it’s not ever an issue. And if I wanted, you know, even more control spatially around me, I could just go ahead rotate this to the front while I’m exiting and I can be sure, you know, I’m not going to be bumping this into anyone. Just really quick to use. This also comes in handy anytime I know I’m going to be kind of putting this down, picking it up often. Say I’m like shooting outside, I’m
TG Belt 2 Shoulder Pad
always moving around. This is what the optional TG Belt 2 shoulder pad looks like if you’re thinking about getting it. Now, I wanted this because I thought that the default or stock shoulder strap wouldn’t be comfortable. In actuality, it’s extremely comfortable. I actually found myself not really using this that much. Only if I kind of really loaded up all of the three pouches. It was really heavy. Then I would actually use the uh shoulder strap right here, the shoulder pad. Otherwise, the stock one is really comfy. You probably don’t need this if you’re going for, you know, mostly a
Secure?
light or medium carry. In terms of how secure everything is, I have zero worries at all. Once you slide in those attachment clips onto the pouches or the shoulder straps, they will not go anywhere no matter how hard you yank on it. And it’s just, you know, a well-designed system. The only area where you may have an accident is with the Fidlock system. So, you can see if I go ahead and just yank on this strap, it’s actually not detaching at all. I have to purposely pull down on it and then it’s going to detach. Now, if you do, you know, kind of for see that happening, maybe you can actually tuck this strap, you know, into one of these like uh areas right here. So, there’s no chance of you someone just yanking this or just getting caught on anything. So, you can keep this very secure.
So, would
Recommended?
I recommend the case sling back system from Tactical Geek? Well, so far I’ve loved my experience because I can now ditch my backpack a lot of the times, unless I’m carrying something really large. This actually accommodates quite a bit of things and like I said, you can slim down as you go out throughout the day. Something I can’t do with my backpack. It also looks really sharp and it’s super easy to customize. So, if you’re interested in picking up your very own case sling back system, I’ll leave links down below and you could use my coupon code DCT to get 10% off your order. Now, it comes in white like I have here, but there’s also a black version that looks really nice and stealth as well. And let me know if I missed anything or if you have any additional questions.
