package, you get the Elite case for the iPhone 17 Pro Max, the Max Stick. There’s an included screen protector with an applicator that’s really easy to install, a quick start guide along with wipes, dust sticker, and cleaning cloth. Edgeless Screen Protector
have to do is to install the edgeless screen protector using this easy to use applicator before we can install the case. So, let’s do that now. To install the edge of the screen protector, simply place your phone camera side down. Go ahead and clean the screen using the supplied wipes. Then dry it off. Then use the sticker to remove any remaining dust. Then just close the case. Make sure the pull tab is on the outside. Pull the tab all the way out and you’re done. It’s that simple. The edgeless screen protector was perfectly installed the first time. And you can see everything is nicely aligned. The speaker grill at the top is completely unaffected. And if we take a side view, you can see the screen protector extends just so slightly to protect the screen if you place this face down.
And this is what the screen on the iPhone 17 Pro Max looks like with the edgeless screen protector installed. You can see it’s still very responsive and the colors still look pretty good. The MagBack
Case Design
Elite case looks premium and it feels really good in the hand. Coming in at roughly 51.6 g, so it’s fairly lightweight for the amount of protection and features that this offers. We have a massive camera bezel to protect the rear cameras on there. There’s that built-in finger loop. We have telescoping N52 magnets. There’s a built-in kickstand, which is really handy, and it also magnetically snaps into place. There’s also a pinky rest at the very bottom. On the sides of the case, we also have these type of rubberized elements here that help with grip. The camera shutter button is nice and flush so you don’t accidentally trigger it. And all of the other buttons are an aluminum finish, which feel really nice and premium. Looking at the front.
So, we have a protective lip or bezel to protect your phone along with a soft microfiber lining to protect the back of your phone. It’s just a very well thoughtout case from every angle. To install the
Case Installation
iPhone 17 Pro Max, I’ll just start at the very top here. Slide it in and then pop it in at the very bottom. And there you go. Quickly installed in a matter of seconds. So, this is what the
Post-Installation
beige Elite case looks like installed on the silver iPhone 17 Pro Max. This is what the black version of the Elite case looks like. And I think I prefer this kind of contrasting look with the silver. Now, in terms of the hand feel, this feels really good in the hand. You can see I can easily go ahead, you know, kind of manipulate that. Zero issues at all. While the case finish is smooth, it’s actually not glossy. So, it has a matte type of finish. And you can see as I rub my finger, you can hear the kind of friction going on there. So, it’s not a super slippery case. But then once you add in the grips on the right and left side, it makes it very secure to hold in the hand.
All of the buttons are still very responsive even with the button covers on there and I can easily go ahead and just double click to launch the camera app, take photos or turn the screen off. The port cutouts are nicely aligned so that speaker grill is completely unobstructed. And we also have lanyard loops on the right and left side if you want to run those or wrist straps. The pinky pillow rest or USB type-C cover closes nice and flush anytime you’re not using it. The rear camera bezel also extends far above the three lens so that anytime you place this flat down, you don’t have to worry about the lenses getting scratched. In terms of protection, you could see that the screen protector actually ends where the case bezels begin. So you have basically allound protection without any gaps.
And this is what the classic clear case looks like. This looks just so gorgeous. Now note that there are no telescoping magnets on this. So, you will be able to mount this, you know, horizontally in a lot of the cases since you won’t have to worry about the camera bump. But, if you want to mount it vertically, it’s going to be a little bit more challenging, but you still retain the same type of thick bezels all the way around for solid 6 ft drop protection. You also won’t be able to customize color accents, but when the case looks this beautiful, I don’t think you’re going to want to.
Protection
So, I dropped the iPhone 17 Pro Max from a height of around 3 ft on the screen side down and then rear camera side down. And let me tell you, there’s not a lot of cases I’m actually willing to do this. In fact, the MagBback case is the only case where I feel confident to drop it from that height. And because we have the edgeless screen protector, air cushioned corners, thick front and rear bezels, this is rated for drops up to 6 ft high, so you’ll have no issues with

protection. There’s also zero wobble anytime the phone is placed flat down on a table, either horizontally or
Finger Loop
vertically. The built-in finger loop is also super solid, so I can just slide my finger in there, go ahead, shake the phone up, down, side to side, and it doesn’t go anywhere at all. And you can see this is nicely retained in here. Now, if you find this a little bit too loose for your fingers, you can actually open up the flap on the inside and loosen it a little bit more. And once you’re done using it, you just press down. It stores away nice and flush so that you can use it for Maxafe charging or to attach Maxafe accessories. There’s

also a built-in kickstand that you could just lift up. You can hear that click into place. And there is a magnetic button here that helps kind of keep this nice and flush whenever you’re not using it. But you just pop that out and you could use your phone both horizontally or vertically. And note if I bang on the table, the phone will not collapse.
Magsafe
You also retain full Maxafe functionality and you can also use Maxafe accessories like a power bank or even MacBack’s own wallet, which also doubles as a horizontal or vertical kickstand. And you could see that all of these snap securely into place thanks to those N52 shrink magnets.
Magnetic Mounting
The magnetic hold is seriously impressive with the N52 magnets. And because we have that large camera bump, the case uses telescoping magnets to ensure you get a secure hold on any type of metallic surface. I was able to securely mount this to a shelf, a table leg, a fridge, my computer case, a weight plate, even a knife with zero issues. The magnetic hold is just
