Intro
hey it’s Adrian and today I’m taking a look at this 10 000 milliamp hour battery case for the s23 ultra this is from a company called zero limit and let’s just get the elephant out of the room because this is a massive case it’s really like holding a brick it’s just positively ginormous and you can see this has another 10 000 milliamp hour battery case that I did for the s23 ultra as well and take a look at the size difference between both of these cases you can see there’s a noticeable difference so if you’re looking for something pocketable this is probably not the best case for you unless you have really big pockets and in that case check out my review on this new Dairy case it’s also a 10 000 milliamp hour battery case but it’s a bit smaller to manage but if you’re okay with the size of the Zero Lemon case and the ruggedness that it provides let’s get into the rest of the review in the

package we have the battery case of course also a quick instruction manual and a warranty card the build quality on
Build Quality
here feels really good and I’m not worried if I was to drop this phone I’m pretty sure it’s going to survive it without any issue now it is pretty deep and you can see that’s about one inch deep so you have to have pretty large Pockets to accommodate something like this now on the very back you can hear is this type of hard plastic and pretty much it feels like a pretty sturdy unit you know there’s not a lot of there really there’s no creaking or anything like that now the way this case works is that there’s three parts that so this back part that wraps around here is this type of soft casing you could see if I pull at it enough um I can probably get it to separate you can see it’s separating here and then there’s two other parts of the case one is this type of hard plastic frame that goes on the front of the phone and there’s another hard plastic that houses the entire phone and I’ll show that
Design
later the overall design is just really square and really blocky and you could see by the shape of this now this comes in at around 507 grams or about 1.1 pounds with the phone included so that’s pretty noticeable especially if you’re going to be carrying this in a pocket if you have a pocket that can hold it if you’re going to be putting this phone face down you can see that we do have a lip running at the top and bottom here so that if you put the phone down there’s a bit of a gap so you don’t have to worry about the screen getting scratched the right side of the phone has the volume up and volume down buttons along with the power button and if I go ahead and press those you can see that they’re very responsive and you do have a bit of tactile feedback there’s a cutout below the power button on the right side and there’s another one on the left side and that’s to keep this exterior case kind of secured to the rest of the body the back of the phone has a cutout for the camera modules now if I do a side view you could see this goes pretty high so those camera modules they’re nowhere close to ever touching anything that would hurt them if you know you put it on a table by the way if you’re wondering if you’re going to catch any of this cut out when you use the ultra wide lens it’s not an issue the bottom of the case has the Zero Lemon logo and the power button along with some LED indicator lights to show battery status so if I press and hold on that I could see that I have three bars of battery the bottom of the case has cutouts for the speaker Grille two microphones we also have a type c charging port for the case and the only area where it’s a little bit finicky is the S Pen so you can see if I go ahead and click that in I can definitely go ahead and grab that and then with some practice if I attack it from this angle here you know I can get it but because this little cutout here it’s right up against the edge of the S Pen it does make getting it out a little bit more challenging than I found on other cases the left side of the case has the zero shock writing debossed into the case if we take a close-up look at the front of the phone you can see that it’s pretty much well sealed all the way around now does that mean dust won’t get in no but it’s still pretty well sealed
Installation
okay install the phone you have to disassemble the case into these three pieces so we have the outer shell here then this is the main body and this is what has the 10 000 milliamp hour battery and then we have this top border frame that goes on top of the phone one thing I want to point out though is that you can see on this main body which has the 10 000 milliamp hour battery this is hard plastic pick one for that it’s very hard plastic and pretty much the entire part on the interior of this case is just hard plastic and your phone is resting right up against that hard plastic now if there’s ever any type of dust or dirt in here it’s just going to be pressed right up against the back of the fold now one thing you could do is you could put kind of like a vinyl wrap or a sticker type of you know finish on here to protect it but if we take a look at this other case that I reviewed previously the new Dairy case this has a type of felt material it’s kind of soft and up here it’s very soft too compared to this material this is very hard so you know I’m a bit worried that over time the back of the phone likely would get scratched a little bit unless you put kind of like a vinyl wrapper protector before you apply the foam to install the phone what we’re going to do is line up the phone’s charging port with this type c Port here and I’m going to line that up really carefully so that I don’t bend the charging port so now that it’s completely seated in there very nicely what I’m going to do is I’m going to put this top frame on top and then just snap that into place so you can see everything is nicely seated and in the last step is to attach this soft shell so I’m going to go ahead and do that now just going to slide it in press everything down and once you do that you’re just going to kind of you know nudge everything into place so that it forms a nice seal and that’s it so the installation is done it’s really easy to install by the way guys if you’re finding this review helpful please consider liking and subscribing it really does help me out but let’s get back into the video
Charging S23 Ultra
charging the phone is really simple so you could see if I just flip it around press and hold for three seconds the lights come on and I can see that it’s now charging and it’s saying about 57 minutes until fully charged and then to stop charging you would just do the reverse press and hold for three seconds and charging is off we started at 60 and after 15 minutes of charging we were at 70 so we gained 10 percent charge and then after 30 minutes of charging where we started at 70 we were at 21 charge so that’s about 0.7 percent of charge every minute to recharge the actual case we
Charging Battery Case
would use the USB type-c port at the bottom so let’s just pop that in and you can see that as soon as I do that it’s starting to charge a case now what’s cool with this case also is that it’s charging the phone and the case simultaneously so you know that saves you a lot of time you’ll be using a wireless charger same type of deal so you could see if I just pop that onto the case it’s already charging it and if I rotate it around you can see it’s charging the phone at the same time as well so super handy you can charge it either by cable or wirelessly so
Ergonomics
ergonomics are pretty much through the roof because take a look at this thing it’s not exactly designed to be ergonomic it is manageable you can see that I can hold it I can still get access to unlock my phone I’m relatively easily given how big it is now I do foresee this being a problem if you’re on a phone call and you have to hold this up to your ear for you know more than say five to ten minutes it’s gonna be annoying so definitely I would run this with some kind of Bluetooth headset and again I really do wish they had some kind of cut out somewhere on here where you could kind of attach you know like a lanyard or a clip or something to hook it to make it you know a bit more manageable if you were gonna wear it on a belt or you know a utility vest or something like that all right guys so
Recommended?
can I recommend the Zero Lemon 10 000 we have our case for the sr3 ultra and it may seem like I’m being a bit critical of the case but overall if you’re okay with what it’s designed to do and it is not just designed to give you you know 10 000 milliamp hours of battery like the new Dairy cases this has a focus on ruggedness and durability as well so I think you’ll already know if you’re the Target or intended user for a case like this you know if you’re working in a rugged or extreme environment and you can’t always worry about where you put your phone down you know is it going to scratch a camera lens or is it going to damage your phone then this is a solid case you could see it really elevates the case from any type of surface that you put it on really and it protects it pretty much all around and you do have this kind of outer border or frame to really protect the phone which is missing on the other case that I reviewed that’s a very soft type of case this is definitely meant for rugged environments or rough users I also can’t sleep on the fact that you can just have it standing vertically like this drop it horizontally and this is so handy because you could just be eating studying you know at a work site whatever you you don’t need a tripod or a stand or anything and it’s just really stable in Rock Solid you can also just you know flip it around and use this for photos or videos because you can get you know perfectly stable shots or you know time lapse videos or whatever and you don’t need to invest in a tripod or a case everything’s just built into this all right so if you’re interested in picking up the Zero Lemon 10 000 milliamp hour battery case for your s93 Ultra either to keep your phone’s battery topped up or for personal protection I’m going to leave some links in the description down below so you can check it out and as always if you found this video helpful please consider liking and subscribing and I’ll see in the next one soon
