Intro

Hey, it’s Adrienne and if you’re looking for a standout sound in a pair of earbuds without paying too much, you should check out these soundpeats error 5. Pro, they have 10mm drivers with an N50 dual magnet system for tight-base and distortion free audio, L-DAC and A-BNTX lossless support with Snapdragon sound for a high-res audio. There’s adaptive ANC multi-point support to connect two devices and IPX5 waterproof rating clear calls, a low latency gaming mode, but it is lacking in one area that may be a deal breaker to some of you, so let’s take a closer look at the soundpeats error 5 Pro and a big thanks to soundpeats for sending these out for review. In the box, we have the soundpeats

manual. The charging case for the error 5 Pro is very similar to soundpeats previous cases, so it just opens up just like so, and we have this text right here that says here are the difference. We also have an LED indicator light and at the bottom we have a USB Type C port to charge it up and then a pairing button at the back we have these soundpeats logo as well. We have a matte finish that is really good at resisting fingerprints and the entire thing comes in at around 54 grams with the earbuds in them. Now if I shake this upside down, you know, there’s no kind of rattling or shaking its firmly and magnetically held in place here. Now each of the earbuds comes in at around 4.9 grams, which is very lightweight.
And removing the earbuds is really simple, same with putting them right back in, so pretty good design. I have the back version, but it also comes in white as well. Now if we take a side view, we do have the soundpeats logo when you could see it’s a very kind of mirror or glossy type of finish, which is very reflective. And then we do have this kind of a textured area here as well. And of course, this is where we’re going to have touch controls on the top there. Now if we take a side view, this is where we can see the speaker grill and then at the very bottom we have the metal charging contacts that go into the case. And then there’s various ports along the way to help with ANC and for microphone quality.
Unlike the previous Air 5 model which I’ve in my right hand here, these are kind of semi in here and the Air 5 pros are fully in here. Here’s a quick look at the specs. Feel free to

pause and review or jump ahead to the next section. I’ll go ahead and pair the Air 5 Pro’s
Bluetooth Pairing

for the first time, so I’ll just open the case up. And I’m in my Bluetooth settings, I’ll just wait for the pop up at the bottom here, soundpeets Air 5 Pro, hit pair, and there we go. It’s connected very quickly. Notify jump into the settings additionally. Notice that L-DAC is not available on here because we will have to enable it in the Pete’s Audio app first. I’ll repeat the same process on my Z Fold 7 because this does support multi-point. There we go. To demo how multi-point
Multipoint

work, so since I have music playing on my first phone, if I start playing music on my second phone, it’s actually not going to kick the audio over. You’re going to see it’s going to actually pause on this phone here because this one is taking part. Now if I pause it on here first and then I start playing, it’s going to play continually without pausing because now there’s not another audio source. So you will have to pause to get it to kick over to the next one. In the Pete’s Audio
App Settings

app settings, we can see the battery life for both the right and left ear, but individually, along with the battery life for a charging case, you get such it from normal listening mode to the active noise cancellation or transparency mode, and we do have the option to turn on multi-point, which I’ve disabled here because I do want to have L-DAC on, so you can only have one or the other. Now you can also disable all touch controls and you can turn on game mode for low latency. Now if we jump into custom key, this is where you can remap the touch controls.
So you could see a single tap or click is going to be volume up or volume down, and then a double tap is going to do play pause on either ear, but now for triple click, I’ve set it for previous and next track, and you can see you can tap into any of these and set it to undefinder any other control that you want, so you can really find to it how you like. Then you could do a long press for noise canceling the switch between different listening modes or two events or even pull up like a voice assistant, so you have full control. On the middle tap, this is where we have the EQ, so you could jump into the adaptive EQ if you want to use that. There’s the soundpeets classic bass boost treble, bass reduced electronic rock etc. You can see you have a ton.
And then you can also go ahead and add in your only EQ, so you can go ahead and make your own type of EQ pattern, and then you could go ahead and save that. In the top right corner, this is where we can go if we want to upgrade the firmware on the earbuds. You can also enable LE audio, you can do a fifth test find earbuds and then the available languages are English, simplified Chinese Japanese German, and you can also change the volume of the prompt tones on the earbuds. The touch controls are really responsive, so a single tap is either going to increase or decrease volume.
I can also do a double tap on either earbath to pause or resume playback, and then I can do a triple tap to jump ahead to the next track, like you can see there, and then another triple tap to go back to the previous track. Doing a long press is going to switch a listening mode, so it’s going to go from normal to noise cancelling, and then if I press that again, it’s going to cycle over to transparency mode. Right there, and then one more is going to cycle right back to the normal listening mode, and then a long press on the other earbath is going to bring up the voice assistant, and again, you can program these exactly how you like. So these soundpeets pro have 10 millimeter drivers and
Sound

N50 dual magnets system, and that’s going to give you just kind of tighter bass, Lord’s distortion audio. You also have snap dragon sound, L-Dax Sport, and APTX losses support. I had L-Dact turned on, and I also used the high-fi equalizer most of the time, it sounded the most likely to me. Since I had amazing fitment and a good seal, the bass delivery was bold and full with good bass decay and bass thumb, it was really nice and tightly controlled. I really don’t think any of you are going to be disappointed with the bass output coming out of these, it’s very satisfying. You’ll also enjoy listening to vocal prominent songs, because the tuning has done so well on these, that the lows don’t really cross over too much, keeping the mids clean and sharp without too much harshness.
The highs also had great clarity and liveliness to them without excessive sublens, and these also get super loud. I only really need to keep these, say around 50% volume max at the most, and I’m someone who likes to listen to music loud, and that was plenty love for me. These also have a fairly wide sound stage, I listen to a variety of different type of music, and everything sounded so great on these, especially with the high-fi equalizer, and I was kind of, you know, really critically listening to these, and I could not find something I didn’t like. The sound is just stand out on these, I think a lot of you are going to be really impressed with it.
If you’re trying to decide between the error files or the error files, the errors files, hands down the error files, rows are much better in terms of sound quality. Now the ANC performance is actually pretty good on these, so I mostly
ANC

stuck TDA adaptive ANC when I was just walking up and above. And for the most part, it actually was able to lower a lot of background or ambient noise, so I think if you’re going to be using these, you know, kind of commuting, walking around, you’re not really going to have any issues. But where it did actually struggle is with wind noise, so on particularly windy days, I would hear the wind coming through, and it was distracting enough where, you know, it would affect the listening experience, so I would have to just switch it over to the normal mode. So that’s one thing, hopefully they can be fixed and firmware later on. The transparency mode failed much better, but yeah, if you’re living somewhere where it’s windy often, these may not be the error
Microphone

but for you. Here’s an example of what microphone audio sounds like coming out of the sound piece, air 5 Pro, I’m in a very quiet room with little to no ambient noise. Now I’ll play some simulated background noise to show how to mic-photent and loud audio. Here’s an example of what microphone audio sounds like from the sound piece air 5 Pro, air spirit in a fairly loud and noisy environment.
Gaming

Even though there’s a slight audio delay with the low latency gaming mode turned on, it still didn’t prevent me from winning and just dominating and call the duty mobile, so you won’t have any issues with gaming. These are rated for about 7 to 7 and a half hours of battery life, and in
Battery

my testing, I was getting between 3 and a half hours to about 6 hours best case use. Now that was with playing around with the 10 settings having L.Connor off and then having ANC on or off as well. So with ANC on and if you have L.Connor, you’re probably going to get only about 3 to 3 and a half hours. And if you take ANC off and maybe L.Connor then you can get closer to say 5, 6 hours. Now it’s also going to depend on the volume level you’re listening to and I’m someone who likes to listen to music very loud and I noticed with these, I probably only have to keep it around the 30 to 40% volume range and that was plenty loud for me and that’s where I was getting closest 6 hours.
But if you’re someone who listens to music like loud a lot of times you need to have ANC on you want L.Connor, most likely you’re only going to be getting around 3 hours. So depending on what you’re using these for, if you want these to last day long, they will not last day long. If you’re just using these kind of short commutes going for workout as it’s perfectly fine, just keep that in mind. By the way, a quick 10 minute fast charge is going to get you an additional 2 hours of playtime. So maybe it’s not too bad. These have been super comfortable to wear for
Comfort

hours at a time. Now I’m using the medium ear tips and I have probably medium size ear canals and the fit and seal is so good on her. That’s why basically every was just so stand out when I was testing. So yeah, I would say if you have kind of like medium ear massage canals and most earbuds fit you, you won’t have any problem with these. So if you want fantastic sound with great

based performance, a white sound stage and distortion free high-res audio, these sound please air 5 pro definitely deliver.
