Edge cases are available in a variety of gorgeous colors and designs, while remaining ultra-light and thin, with a nice texture thanks to the durable aramid fiber. There are raised edges around the screen and rear camera module to protect it every time you place the phone on a surface. Design
Pitaka Edge cases are very lightweight, ranging in weight from 24 to 26 grams. Let’s start with the “Over the Horizon 2.0″ cover, which I think looks fantastic . So, I have the ” Summer Noon” version, and on the back panel there is a large cutout for the camera lenses. If you look from the side, you can see a raised protective edge or frame. The back of the case also has excellent grip. You can actually feel the texture as you run your fingers through it, thanks to the aramid fiber weave, which greatly improves grip. There’s also a “mammoth resin” coating, which should increase impact resistance and structural integrity. There is a magnetic ring for using MagSafe charging and accessories with a secure fit, and the Pitaka logo is placed at the bottom.
On the right side we have a large cutout for the power button. Also here is what Pitaka calls Pita! Tap. This is a cover for the camera touch control button. The back of the Pita button! Tap has a soft coating to prevent the camera’s touch button from getting scratched. On the other side, there is another large cutout for the volume buttons and side action button. Note that the aramid fiber material and weave pattern cover the entire perimeter of the case. So no matter how you hold the phone , it feels incredibly comfortable in your hand. The bottom of the case has cutouts for the speakers and USB Type-C port. And if we look inside, when we run our fingers through it, we feel that the surface is very smooth, so nothing will scratch the back of your iPhone.
You can also see the magnetic ring that we will use for MagSafe charging. If you look closely, you can see that the raised screen protector curves slightly , helping to keep your iPhone 18 Pro Max securely in the case. Now, if you look from the side, you can see that each corner of the case is also slightly raised compared to the rest of the case. This is done so that you can place the phone face down without fear of damaging it. The California Dream Sunset 2.0 case has virtually the same design elements. You can see that the weave pattern of the aramid fiber is different here. The same goes for the logo color, but otherwise they are practically the same.
Design – Argyle Case
Looking at the aramid version of the Edge case that I’m holding in my left hand, notice that the raised camera bezel has a metallic look, whereas in the other two cases it was translucent. When I run my finger along the back of both cases, they feel very grippy. They are actually pleasant to the touch . Both cases are very comfortable to hold in your hand, no matter how you grab them. So, there are no problems with this. However, on the aramid case, I noticed that when I swiped my finger, it bounced a little due to the textured coating, although it was n’t as pronounced as on the Over the Horizon or California Dream models. As I run my finger here, I feel the weave of the pattern much more distinctly. So it all comes down to the user’s personal preferences.

Case Install & Removal
install the iPhone 18 Pro Max into the Pitaka Edge case. I’ll start at the very top, push it in, then from the sides, and finally just snap it in from the bottom—and that’s it, done. So, installing it is actually very simple. Now, if you need to remove the case from your phone, just start at the top corner near the flash, press with your thumb and you’ll see that one side has already come off, press on the other side and you can simply remove the case.
Case Post-Installation
This is what the silver iPhone 18 Pro Max looks like in the Horizon 2.0 Summer Noon case, and you can see, it looks very fresh. I really like this cover. Probably one of the best looking in this series. Let me know what you think about it in the comments. It’s also very nice to hold in your hand. Again, this is a very thin case. I almost don’t feel like there’s anything on the iPhone at all. And since it’s light and non-slip, it’s very comfortable to operate with one hand , no problem. The button cutouts are also well aligned, with nothing blocking them, including the speaker grilles on the bottom and the USB-C port.
The rear protective edge is raised enough, and the lenses are securely recessed, so if you place the phone on a flat surface with the lenses facing down, there is no risk of scratching them . Note that my iPhone 18 Pro Max has a fairly thick glass protector installed, and even with it, the front protective bezel protrudes enough on all four corners to prevent the screen from being damaged if you place the phone face down. be fine. The case also uses super-strong N52 magnets for a secure hold during MagSafe wireless charging. And this secure mount allows you to use MagSafe accessories. Qi wireless charging. I also tried attaching the phone to metal surfaces with a magnet. There were times when it slipped a little and then held, but there were also times when it didn’t provide a strong enough grip. Therefore, I do not recommend doing so.
Protection
Now let’s talk about everyday protection, which I mentioned at the beginning of the video as something worth knowing. So, Pitaka Edge cases do not have an official drop protection rating. If you need protection for your phone from drops, you should take a look at other Pitaka models. Also note the large cutouts for the right and left camera buttons. It weighs about 36.5 g, so it is very light, and also quite thin when viewed from the side. There is a ring on the back that uses powerful N52 magnets for secure fixation. There is also a special cutout here so that you can easily remove the cards. You can use contactless payment without taking your card out of your wallet. I tested this and it works surprisingly well in most cases. You can put up to two cards here and still have easy access to them thanks to the cutout on the back. But for best results, it’s best to use only one card. With one card, it will be much easier to remove and insert them back.

features. And when you need to charge your phone, you can connect the magnetic Aramid power bank that I have. I have the 10,000 mAh version, which weighs about 182 g. But there is also a thinner 5,000 mAh version. There’s also a strong magnetic bond here, as you can see, it just magnetizes into place. It automatically starts charging the phone. I don’t even need to turn anything on. Once it is secured, charging begins immediately. To stop wireless charging, simply disconnect the power bank from the back of your phone.
