If you’re looking for a superior clean and toothbrushing experience, you have to check out the Sucus Neos 2 Ultra toothbrush. It has a unique 3in-1 cleaning method that pairs oscillation along with powerful sonic vibrations at 66,000 sonic movements per minute with a powerful water flossing jet that outputs 124 PSI of water pressure. There’s physical buttons for quick and tactile controls, up to 30 days of battery life, and magnetic charging along with a handy travel case. Now, all of that sounds great on paper, but how well does it actually clean? And is this worth the upgrade from your current toothbrush? Well, as a former dental professional, let me share my experience with the Sugus Neos 2 Ultra. And a big thanks to Sucus for sending this out for review.

comes in at around 215 g, and that’s what one of the brush heads attached it. Now, design-wise, this does look a bit different than other electric toothbrushes you may have seen. And that’s because we have a far larger or thicker handle or base, and that’s because this is actually performing multiple actions, which I’ll get into later. Now, I do have the midnight blue color, but it also comes in a champagne gold color as well. One of the things I love about the Neos 2 Ultra is that we actually have physical buttons on here, and we have three buttons, not just one multi-function button. The top of the toothbrush with the attachment base or stem has a hollow opening. This is where the water is going to come out from. On the back, we have a magnetic charging area.

So, the magnetic charging base just snaps right onto here for wireless charging, which is very convenient. And we have these kind of raised or, you know, kind of dimpling pattern going on here, and that’s to help with grip, which is nice to see. Now, at the very bottom here, we do have this opening for the reservoir area. So, you just put your fingernail under there, pop it out, fill this with water under your tap, and then just snap it back in. And you can see from a side view, it has a little indentation there. So you can just easily pop that out, press it back in, and because it’s weather sealed or with a rubber seal, this stays nice and secure. Now, at the very bottom, you can actually get full access to the reservoir by just pulling down right here.

You have full access, and you could use the reservoir cleaning brush anytime you need to. The Neos2 Ultra comes with two brush heads. One is an ultra brush head and one is an ultra soft brush head if you have more sensitive teeth and gums. Now, to attach it, it’s very simple. So, you’re just going to line it up right at the front, press down, and you’re done. The carrying case looks really nice, and it feels really well built. It’s a hard shell exterior, and we do have a zippered enclosure. So, I’ll just unzip it. Once you open it up, you can put the toothbrush body and one brush head. And once you zipper everything up, there’s no chance of this coming open in your luggage. The back of the brush heads have a soft rubberized coating to make it gentler in the mouth.

And we have tapered bristles that are soft, which is ideal. You could see the nozzle area near the top of the brush head where the water is going to be expelled out for the water flossing feature. Let’s talk

about what makes the Neos 2 Ultra really unique because I haven’t seen this anywhere else. So, when you look at a traditional oscillating toothbrush like an Oral B or if you look at a sonic toothbrush like the Philips Sonic here, they really excel at either oscillation or sonic vibration. However, the Neos2 Ultra actually combines both of those in one body. So, this has a motor that handles that. Plus, on top of that, there’s a mini pump that actually delivers up to 124 PSI of water pressure through the jet nozzle in the brush head. But how does that actually benefit you when you’re brushing your teeth? Well, it means you’re getting an extremely efficient and effective toothbrushing experience.

Because when the physical toothbrush bristles are touching your teeth and it’s oscillating, it’s actually scrubbing away that harmful plaque bacteria. And when the toothbrush bristles cannot reach in between your teeth, which is where flossing is effective, these sonic vibrations that it generates creates sonic waves that actually travel in between teeth and near the gum line to actually dislodge and break apart plaque. So you actually have two mechanisms to remove that harmful plaque bacteria, which is already very impressive. But on top of that, there’s a built-in water flosser that just blasts out water in between your teeth to dislodge any type of leftover food

particles. Using the Neos 2 Ultra is extremely simple. The first thing you’re going to do is you’re going to fill up the water reservoir. So, you’re going to pull down this cover here, fill it up with water under your tap, and then just close this back up. Next, you’re going to use one of the three buttons on the front. So, the first says brush and floss. If you press that, you’re going to get a 2minut brushing timer. After that, it’s going to vibrate a couple times, letting you know it’s going to switch over to water flossing, which lasts 80 seconds. The next button is for intensity. That’s the vertical button, and you have three intensity levels when you’re brushing. And I’m really happy they’ve gone with this approach.

There’s a lot of other toothbrushes where it’s, you know, kind of one button that acts as a multi-function or you have to turn the toothbrush on, then press it a couple of times to switch the intensity. With this, you could set the intensity before you even turn the toothbrush on. But even while you’re brushing, you can change the intensity at that time as well. Really handy. And then the last button is floss only. So, say you’ve just had a meal, you don’t want to fully brush, you just want to flush out, you know, just kind of freshen up your smile, you could just use the 80second flossing feature like that.

Water Flossing

If you’re wondering just how powerful the water flossing is on here since it’s all in one compact body, it is extremely powerful. So, you can see if I just hold this close to the glass, just how easily it’s displacing the water. It’s shooting all the way down to the bottom of the glass. And even if I lift the toothbrush much higher, it’s still displacing a ton of water. It’s extremely powerful at 124

PSI. Let’s talk about the toothbrushing and cleaning experience. So, the first thing I want to say is that if you have smaller hands, you may find this a bit too much to hold. I don’t have any problems just kind of gripping it like this. But another modification you can make is just to hold it kind of on the side like this if you want to use it and you have kind of smaller hands. The brush head has tapered bristles, which is great for cleaning your teeth and cleaning at the gum line. Now, the brush head has 66,000 movements per minute. And I expected this to be kind of a rough or harsh cleaning experience, but even at the maximum intensity level on the brush, which is what I use, I didn’t find that to be the case at all.

And when I think back to using my Philips Sonicare Diamond Clean toothbrush, that actually felt way rougher or harder on the gums than this ever did. So, this is actually a gentler cleaning experience. And even though I found this to be a gentler experience than when I used the Philips Sonic Air Diamond Clean to Toothbrush, it’s not a less effective cleaning experience, it feels way more effective because it’s actually oscillating and creating those sonic waves at the same time. So, it’s just great interdental cleaning. I also like that the rear of the toothbrush has this soft rubber coating on here because I have other toothbrush heads that are just hard plastic and they have a ton of like scratches and nicks just from them rubbing up against my teeth. So, that was a great design choice.

Before I brush my teeth, I always use dental floss because it helps kind of disrupt plaque and just dislodge any leftover food from my last meal. And what I found is that even after flossing and brushing with certain types of foods, once the water flossing feature comes on, it will still flush that away. So, for example, I like to eat roasted peanuts with the skin on. And the skin has a tendency to just stick to teeth or kind of get lodged into the gum line or at the gum line. And this does a fantastic job thanks to the high water output on it. just flushing that away. So, yeah, I’ve loved using the Neos Ultra 2. It’s an extremely effective and efficient cleaning experience. You have two mechanisms at the same time, the sonic vibrations plus the oscillation.

And then, if anything is left over, the water flossing will get that. So, you’ll get a squeaky clean smile every time and it’s gentle on your gums and teeth. So,

can a toothbrush like this actually improve your oral health? And yes, it can. Because if you’re someone who hates flossing, you forget to floss, floss infrequently, this is the next best thing. Now, this is never going to replace dental floss because if teeth are very tight together or if they’re kind of like overlapped or misaligned, you know, the water pressure is not going to make its way that effectively. But for cleaning at the gum line, if you’re not flossing, this will do an excellent job dislodging plaque and leftover food. So, if you’re looking for
