The Classic Hybrid Magnetic cases rated from up to 16 feet of drop protection, thanks to the thick front and rear protective bezels and airguard corners. There’s a built-in adjustable kick stand for stable horizontal and vertical viewing that’s those of way flush when you don’t need it. And extremely strong magnets like you use maxi of charging and maxi of accessories with a super secure hold and you can even magnetically mount it horizontally as well. There’s tactile and responsive button controls, precise board cutouts, no wobble and NFC uses unaffected.

Classic Hybrid Magnetic Case Design
The Classic Hybrid Magnetic case comes in at around 51.7 grams and this is a really nice looking case, so I have the frosted like blue version, but it also comes in other colors as well. Starting with a back view, so you may see a little bit of wear because I have been using this case outside, you know, magnetically mounted and getting a b-roll shot. But looking at the back here, we do have individual lens cutouts for all the lens along with the flash and lighter and it’s a frosted type of finish to match with the frosted finish as well.
There’s also a raised protective lip or bezel that’s about 2.4 millimeters high and this actually doubles as a built-in kick stand which is really neat, so there’s a slight indentation here, you could put your fingernail and then angle it this out to a maximum of 69 degrees and the angle range is from 15 degrees to 69 degrees and this can be used both for horizontal viewing and slightly elevated vertical viewing and when you’re done with it, you can just snap it flush into place. The back has this frosted semi-transparent finish, so you can still see a bit of your iPhones original color showing through, and we also have the magnetic mounting ring with up to 1500 grams of magnetic holding force so you can use max-save charging and max-save accessory securely.
And as I run my fingers along here, it’s a very smooth type of finish. Now looking at the right side, we do have a protective button cover for the power button and a protective button for the touch capacity camera button along with a land-yard cutout here, and on the other side we have protective button covers as well. Note that the other side of the button covers has a smooth finish to ensure the frame of your iPhone doesn’t get scratched. The ESR logo in slogan is also on the side and we have air guard corners on all four corners to help absorb shocks and impacts. Now we also have port cutouts for the USB Type-C port and speaker grill. And the inside of the case has the same smooth finish, and sure your iPhone doesn’t get scratched.
The front of the case has a race protective lip or bezel that wraps around slightly to ensure that your iPhones retain the in the case, and to prevent any damage to your screen if you place your phone screen side down.
Atelier Magnetic Case Design
The ATLEAR A case comes in at around 59.7 grams, so about 8 grams heavier than the classic hybrid case. Now in terms of the design, it’s pretty much a lot of the same elements with the button covers on the right and left side, the liner cutout, and precise port cutouts. We have the same type of protective rear camera lip or bezel that also also functions as a built-in kick stand, and we also have strong magnets capable of 1,400 grams of magnetic holding force. The main difference is the soft vegan leather material on the back, which is really comfortable to run my fingers along, and it also adds a lot of grip and texture. This also uses an oleophobic coating to resist stains.
The ATLEAR A case also uses a large camera lens cutout versus the individual lens cutouts on the classic hybrid case. There’s also a raised front screen protective lip or bezel that slightly wraps around to keep your iPhone retain in the case, and we have this soft microfiber lining to ensure that your iPhones back doesn’t get scratched.
Classic Hybrid Magnetic Case Install
To install the case onto iPhone 18 Pro Max, I’ll first start in the camera side area, press down on the sides, and just like that I’m done. And the classic hybrid magnetic case actually pairs really well with the silver version of the iPhone 18 Pro Max. Now Fitment feels really good on here. Everything is very precise, the phone doesn’t feel loose in any way, you could see we have exact and precise cutouts for the speaker grill and USB Type-C port. All of the buttons remain completely tactile and responsive, and that also goes for the touch-capacity of camera control button as well. And even with the screen protector already applied onto iPhone, the front screen lip or bezel still rises high enough, so if you place your phone screens high down, there’s going to be no damage.
Also note that the four corners also elevate slightly more than the side frames of the phone so you have great all around protection. There’s precise cutouts for each of the individual lens and they sit nicely recessed in the individual lens cutouts, plus we also have that race protective rear lip. To ensure that any time you place your phone, let’s go down, there’s no chance of getting scratched. The case also feels really good in the hand, it doesn’t feel too bulky and there’s a good amount of grip that I can easily manipulate at one hand.
Atelier Magnetic Case Install
To install the iPhone 18 Pro Max on the case, I’ll start on the camera side, push it down on the sides, and just like that I’m done. The Italian case has the same great Fitment and precise port cutouts along with responsive button controls. Now I definitely feel it’s heavier in the hand since it is a grams heavier, but even with that said, due to the grippy soft feel vegan leather is a very easy to manipulate it one-handed. We also have the same protective front screen lip or bezel, and even though we don’t have individual lens cutouts on the Italian case, all of the lens are nicely recessed behind the rear camera bezel, so that if you’re a pleasure phone lens side down, there’s no chance of your lens is getting scratched.
Protection
The classic hybrid magnetic case is rated for up to 16 feet of drop protection. Now I drop the iPhone 18 Pro Max both screen side down and camera or lens side down, and there was no damage to the screen or the lens. That’s thanks to the race protective front screen lip and rear camera lip and the airguard corners. The Italian case is rated for up to 12 feet of drop protection, which is also impressive.
MagSafe Charging & MagSafe Accessories
The strong magnets that you use maxi of wireless charging and maxi of accessories with a super secure hold, and thanks to the 1,500 grams of magnetic holding force, even when I attached this maxi of power bank, I had to use more force than I expected the detachable power bank, because that’s just how strong the magnetic hold is on there, and even with me like shaking the phone aggressively, the power bank isn’t detaching, and just bringing it near the ring holder, it’s just snap into place really impressive. Magnetic Mounting?
magnets on there, you can even magnetically mount the phone horizontally to most metallic surfaces with a super strong hold. However, you won’t be able to mount it vertically in most cases since you’re not going to make a flush connection due to the raised rear camera lip or bezel.
Built-in Kickstand
The built-in adjustable kickstand also has good damping, making it stable for horizontal or vertical viewing, and if it would be banging on the table to stand in buckle or full shot, one of the great things about having the kickstand up here versus down here is that anytime you want to use maxi of charging and maxi of accessories, you have a super secure hold and any time you detach your accessories, you don’t have to worry about it lifting up the kickstand like you would find on other cases. There’s also another benefit because you can actually attach a maxi of power bank to the back of your phone while you’re still using a kickstand, something you can do with a lot of traditional kickstand cases.
Wobble
There’s also zero wobble when using the cases horizontally or vertically.
NFC
If you frequently use NFC or tap to pay, it’s also completely unaffected.
Classic Hybrid or Atelier Case?
If you’re trying to decide between both of the cases, go for the classic hybrid magnetic case if you want the most drop protection the strongest magnetic hold and you want to see your iPhones original colors. And go for the Italian case if you want additional grip anymore, comfortable hold, thanks to the soft vegan leather finish.
