alright guys I have the Samsung 970 Evo m2 SSD hard drive alright so my hard drive my intel SSD em to death died and I’m gonna try the Samsung one I was gonna initially get 960 but I saw an Amazon it they actually had a 970 the 215 it was a little bit cheaper so I’m just a bit curious if this is the original original thing or if this is a knockoff but here’s what the packaging looks like if any of you guys have bought it you can let me know what you think everything looks good the only issue I’m thinking is if you can see that that black tape it’s not the flush looks like it’s a little bit uneven so much for if that was applied the original was removing that was applied but the printing looks looks intact so I’m I’m hoping it’s the real thing all right let me open it up all right so here we go 972 50gb so I’m gonna put this into my alien where are four and I’ll boot it up you know make sure it recognizes it then I’ll try to do some of the speed tests once I have Windows installed up and running again because I’m gonna use this as my main main hard drive alright so I’ll just link to the other video once I have that then thanks bye alright guys so I just finished installing the Samsung 970 Evo SSD on my Alienware r4 so one one tip is before you install it go into your motherboard make sure that a HCI mode is enabled that’s important because if you don’t enable that when you when you start up the computer it will recognize the drive but if you use the Samsung magician software which is the software they recommend for their SSDs to check if it’s a genuine SSD or to monitor the drive health or to optimize it and to check for firmware the software’s gonna say it doesn’t recognize the drive or it’s not going to detect it so make sure it’s an ATI mode before you install it so after installing it in a HCI mode the software does show that it’s a genuine Samsung product it shows the health is good and it’s the latest firmware so I also did some read and write tests I didn’t about three times and then the average was the read was 3454 and right I got a score of one thousand four hundred and eighty so that’s pretty good pretty similar to what I saw other people getting for their benchmarks as well if you’re interested in this drive I’m gonna put a description that link to the Amazon page in the description and you can go ahead and get that if you’re looking to upgrade the SSD on your Alienware r4 alright thanks guys and stay tuned for my next video bye
