If you’re looking for a great sounding pair of wired headphones that also look stylish as well, you’re going to want to check out Roselsa’s 10th anniversary Distant Mountain headphones. They have large 40mm carbon fiber composite diaphragm drivers and upgraded hi-fi four core 5 silverplated single crystal copper wire with MMCX connector end. A sturdy adjustable metal headband covered with genuine lambkin leather and breathable sponge ear pads that go on air for all day comfort while still staying present in your surroundings. While all of that sounds great, it is missing a couple of features that you’d normally find in Bluetooth headphones. So, let’s take a closer look to see if any of those are dealbreakers for you. And a big thanks to Roselsa for setting these up for review.

The 10th anniversary box gives you quite a number of things. So, we have the 10th anniversary distant mountain headphones, an additional style of ear pads. There’s also a display stand, a manual, MMCX connector cable, a high quality metal brooch, name plate, and postcard. The

Distant Mountain headphones come in at around 118 grams, so they’re not too heavy. And this 10th anniversary edition just looks so beautiful from basically every angle. There’s a ton of detail and nothing has gone unchecked. We have an adjustable metal headband and this is actually wrapped or covered in genuine lambkin leather, so it does have a little bit of plushness to this. The ear pads are this type of sponge, which are breathable ear pads. And I actually switched out the ear pads that came with these. So, they do come with these kind of solid ear pads here. And then I switched them out for the ones with the cutout in the middle. And we also have the 40mm drivers where the speaker grill is. The left and right side are debossed so you know which side is which.

And we also have the 10th anniversary marking on here. Now, if I run my finger here, this is nice and smooth. We also have these kind of notches for incremental adjustment. And you could hear those kind of just click into place. And we also have a hard stop here. So that’s the maximum adjustment range up or down. The distant mountain text along with the Roselsa logo is printed on the side. And you can see we have these blue concentric circles. And then we have this kind of brass or gold color concentric circles in the middle as well. There’s also circular cutouts that basically run a half circle around the speaker or driver housing. The two MMCX connector ends are colorcoded and the cable is marked with right and left. So, just pay attention when you connect them.

I’m glad to see that the cables are detachable. That way, if they ever get damaged or lost, you can easily replace it. The cable is around 1.2 m or about 3.9 ft. And these cables have been upgraded from the previous Dent Mountain headphones. So, these are four core 5N silverplated single crystal copper wire with the MMCX connector ends. We have an adjustment to split the cable. And then we have the 3.5 mm connector. And the included 3.5 mm to USBC connector. So you can use this with your smartphone is about 13 cm. And this is running the ALC 5686 DAC chip. When connecting the cable, make sure you hear that satisfying click so you know it’s in there securely. Here’s a quick look at the specs. section. All right, let’s talk sound. So, we have large 40mm dynamic drivers with a carbon fiber composite diaphragm. And most of my listening was with the included dongle that has the DAC chip on here. Even though there’s no app support where you can just switch through equalizers on my S25 Ultra, it comes with a stock equalizer. So, I use that. And you can still download a third party equalizer for your phone, laptop, desktop. So, you can really get these how you want them to sound. The bass has definitely been upgraded from the previous model, so you get a little bit more of that bass thump and bass punch, but it’s not headphone shaking bass if you’re a bass head. Still, there’s still a slightly prolonged bass decay that bass heads are going to love.

The mid sounded a little bit recessed to my ear, so the vocals came through a little bit veiled and a little bit soft. Now, it’s not a dealbreaker by any means, and some people may actually prefer this type of tuning, especially if they found other earphones to be like a little bit too sibilent or a little bit too harsh for their ears. The High came through with good clarity, liveless, and detail, which was great for listening to instrumental music without introducing excessive siblance. And there’s a wide enough sound stage for long listening sessions without any type of ear fatigue. By the way, these also get insanely loud at max volume. For the most part, I only kept it around 60 70%. That was plenty loud for me.

It’s a solid upgrade from the previous model and just a good pair of wired headphones. Overall, if you want pretty balanced sound in a stylish package,

there is going to be some level of sound leakage since these are on air headphones. Here’s a demo.

And of course, there’s no latency while gaming since it’s in wired mode. So, I was easily able to dominate in Call of Duty Mobile. These have been super comfortable for hours of wear without any issue thanks to the breathable soft sponge ear pads. The headband is also adjustable to get it exactly where you want and it never felt like it was like pressing or kind of squeezing my head. The only thing I would like to see improved on a future model is if the actual like ear pads themselves could swivel right or left by just a few degrees. That would make fitment even better. Also, because these are onar headphones instead of the overear that kind of just cups everything and keeps moisture and heat in, you don’t have that problem with these.

And you’re also able to stay kind of present in your surroundings cuz it’s still open enough that you could hear what’s going on

around you. There’s no microphone functionality on the connector cable for the 10th anniversary edition. But on the previous edition of these headphones, the cable did have a mic module on there. So, probably is possible to just buy that type of cable and then just swap it out if you definitely need microphone functionality. Now, let’s

talk about some of the things that are missing since these are not Bluetooth headphones. So, one is that there’s no type of app support. You just plug it into whatever device and you’re good to go, which means you’re not setting any type of like custom EQs in an app. You’re not setting like touch controls, button controls. There’s no type of multi-point connectivity and there’s no active noise cancellation. So, you’ll have to decide if any of those things are real deal breakers for you. But the one upside is that you’re never going to hear battery low, please charge because this just uses the power from your phone, from your laptop, or whatever other device you have these connected

to. So, if you want a stylish pair of wired headphones that have some personality, and great overall tuning, get super loud, stays comfortable for all day wear, gives you a zero latency experience, whether you’re listening to music, watching movies, or gaming, the Roselsa 10th Anniversary Dismantling headphones are a solid headphone.
