hey it’s Adrian and today I’m taking a look at the sound Pats Pearl clip Pro open St clip earbuds these have 12 mm dual Dynamic drivers a plastic and silicone exterior with a memory wire for a comfortable and lightweight fit Bluetooth 5.4 multi-point connectivity up to 24 hours of playtime environmental noise cancellation AI mic technology a dynamic equalizer and ipx5 rating self adjusting right and left channel so you can wear them interchangeably fast fast charging and a low latency gaming mode now all of that sounds great on paper but how well do these actually fit and how good are they considering their open air style earbuds well let’s take a closer look and a big thanks to sound pets for sending these out for

Design
everything up let’s take a look at the case for the sound feeds pear clip Pro so one thing that I have to say right away is that this is an extremely glossy and slippery case and for someone who has um kind of oily fingerprints like me it’s not a good combination so you will have to be careful handling this now on the rear we have the sound Patza logo along with a USB type-c port to charge the case up we also have an LED indicator light here and a button that you can press to put this into pairing mode and then if we take a closer look inside we have the right and left um earbuds the pro clip Pro now one really interesting thing with this is that there is no you know dedicated right and left you can kind of swap these out um interchangeably like you can see right here let me just flip those just like so it has you know kind of a smart switch to identify right and left channels and it makes charging these you know kind of putting them in and taking them out extremely easy you don’t have to think about it now these are held magnetically in place with those U metal charging contacts in there and if I flip it upside down and I shake it it’s not going anywhere so it is nicely and securely in there one thing I did notice is that when this is closed you can probably hear the earbuds rattling around in there so it’s not you know like a super snug fit that may or may not bother you and then if we take a look at the entire weight with the earbuds plus the case it’s about 47 G and if we look at just the earbuds by themselves it comes in at around 6 G each now the PE clip Pro feels really good in the hand and that’s thanks to this very soft touch Sol con type of material and we have this reflective surface on either ends right here now if we take a closer look at the top here we have the two metal charging contacts and then we have the speaker Grill and then we have this kind of a grippable area here or this rided area with grips here to keep these secure in your air and you can see as I stretch these out it has a tendency to come right back in and that’s because this is using a memory wire to you know kind of keep the shape here and if if you’re wondering where the touch control area is well it’s going to be on the side with the speaker Grill it’s right at the top in this section here here’s a quick look at the

Bluetooth Pairing
the sound Pats Pearl clip Pro so I’ll just open the case up press the button on the front to put it in Bluetooth pairing mode so I can see the flashing lights there just hit scan and I’ll wait for it to pop up on my phone here we go sound piz Pearl clip Pro hit pair and I can see that it’s connected I just
Multipoint Pairing & Demo
turned off Bluetooth on my first phone and I’m just going to pair it on my second phone to use the multipoint functionality so I’ll press and hold the power button or pairing button again it’s flashing hit scan on my fold six there it is sound PS Pro clip Pro hit pair and I can see that it’s now connected as well and if I turn Bluetooth on on my s24 ultra I can go ahead tap on sound Pats PE clip Pro and I can see it’s connected simultaneously on my s24 ultra and my zold 6 here’s a demo of multipoint so I’ll start playing on my first phone then I can pause that play on the second [Music] phone so you can see it’s fairly seamless and quick now if I start playing on the first phone then I start on the second phone it will prioritize the first device that was playing so for example so while both phones are playing audio it’s going to take precedence or prity on the first device that was outputting the signal first all right
Sound
let’s talk about sound quality now if you’ve used traditional Sal earbuds like their Engine Force for example these sit you know or the engine Force story they sit you know directly in your air canal and anytime earbuds are in your air Canal you know you get better sound isolation and you know just a better listening experience in terms of you know like feeling that base in there now because these are an open ear style of airbud they’re not directly in your air Canal they’re not even semi in air so there is you know a bit of a gap so that’s kind of the trade off you’re making you know you’re getting comfort and you can also hear your surroundings around you which make these great for that purpose but you’re not going to get you know Peak audio um Clarity when you’re listening so let’s go in with that understanding now these have 12 mm d damic drivers and when I listened to these I did listen at around 60 to 70% and that was pretty loud for me I didn’t have to go you know higher but even if you do go higher they get louder and I didn’t really notice any type of you know uh Distortion that would take me out of the listening experience now you have the normal equalizers you would find in The Sound Pizza app for a lot of their airbuds but then there’s also this option for a dynamic equalizer that’s out of the equalizer section so I did you know mostly listen with the rock equalizer and then I did turn the dynamic equalizer on because because I just found that the sound was you know a bit more full sounding more full bodied sound so that’s a setup I use and I have to say I was actually pretty surprised at the sound coming out of the pear clip Pros compared to other open air earbuds that I’ve tried so the base delivery on here is actually really good you know it’s more than I was expecting because you can actually feel base thump when you’re listening to a lot of songs and you have a good sustained base resonance as well which I’m a fan of so I listen to a lot of vocal Pro minent songs and the audio Clarity was actually really good on here I didn’t notice any type of siblin even when I was listening it to at higher volumes and this is also impressive to me because you know other open a style earbuds that I’ve used you know anytime it came to vocals it kind of sounded you know very muddy and you know there was just a lack of detail and this is actually fairly well tuned you know both for Bass and the mids and highs so it’s an overall great listening experience considering the open ear
Sound Leakage?
style 15 % 75 to 80% 100% there is sound leakage but that’s really going to be dependent on how noisy the environment you are is because this is a dead quiet room you know on a bus train whatever coffee shop you know you’re not really going to hear that
Microphone
sound leakage much here’s an example of what microphone audio sounds like from The Sound Pats perp Pro in a very quiet room with little to no ambient noise I’m now going to play fairly loud simulated background noise from a coffee shop to see how well the microphones handle it here’s an example of what microphone audio sounds like from The Sound Feats Pro for pro using their environmental noise cancellation AI mic
Gaming Mode
algorithm I didn’t notice any type of delays that affected my gameplay when once I’ve turned on the 80 millisecond low latency mode all right let’s talk
Comfort
comfort and right out of the gate these are very comfortable you know I could wear these for a whole half day a whole full day if the battery would last that long and I won’t have any problems because these are very lightweight you know just under six G you barely notice them and because they’re not in your air Canal you know kind of stretching it out um it’s very enjoyable to wear now the memory wire in here um you can you know retract the earbuds slip them on and then it goes back into into position and for the most part it actually stays pretty much where you put it you can see I’m lifting these up I’m putting it down now if I lift it up and I flick my ears for the most part it’s kind of staying it does shift around a bit but you know the nature of these is I wouldn’t want that memory wire to clamp any harder the
Touch Controls
touch controls are actually pretty responsive and you don’t need a heavy hand so a light touch on the speaker Grill portion is going to just increase the volume pretty responsively but here’s a full demo the touch controls are pretty fluid so a single t tap is going to do volume up or volume down and you can see that’s very responsive now a double tap is going to pause music and a double tap is going to resume music playback now a long press is going to jump forward to the next track and then similarly a long press is going to jump back to the previous track so all of that works you know fairly consistently now if we do a triple tap that’s going to go ahead and open up a mode which you could see just activated right there and then if I do a triple tap on the other one that’s going to go ahead and pull up the voice assistant the battery life was
Battery
also pretty good on here so these are rated for up to 6 hours of battery life and these do have 35 milliamp hour batteries in each of them now you can get up to 24 hours of listening time total when you charge these in the charging case which has a 350 milliamp hour battery now in a real world battery test so I listen to these I would say at around 60% volume I had the dynamic equalizer on the Rock equalizer and I also had multipoint on so it was connected to both of my phones but only transmitting audio actively to one of my phones and I got around you know a little over 5 hours with those settings and then whenever you do need to charge these up it does have fast charging so a 10-minute Quick Charge is going to give you 2 hours of listening time so overall battery life is pretty good you can also listen to One earbud at a time if you really want a prolong battery life while the other one stays topped up in the
App Settings
case let’s take a look at the set settings for the Pearl clip Pro in the pets audio app so as soon as you open the app up you can see the battery life for the right and left earbud and then you can see the battery life for the charging case as well now you can disable touch controls completely if you just want to use your device controls and you could turn game mode on or off or you could turn on movie mode or you could just disable both of them to have it in a normal mode now you can also turn on the dynamic equalizer on or off and you can also go into custom key which is where you can REM map the default touch controls but as it stands I do like the default so you could see right and left are going to do volume up and down a double click or double tap on either side it’s going to play or resume playback sorry pause or resume playback and then a triple click is going to enter into game mode or the voice assistance and then a long press is going to be previous track or next track and of course if you want to you know prevent accidental um touches say for volume down where it’s just a single tap you can just set this to unef find rather than disable touch controls for everything if we go into the middle tab this is going to take us into The Equalizer settings and this is where you can switch between the classic equalizer trouble boost base boost base redu and you can see you have a bunch more kind of popular ones you can also go ahead and create your own type of eqs and then you know just go ahead and save those if you prefer I’m just going to get out of that and then you can also use the Adaptive EQ not something I generally use but it is there if you want it if we tap on the menu in the top right corner this is where you can get a bit more information so if I go into device information it shows that I’m on the latest firmware version which is great you can also reset everything and then you can go to find my earbuds and if you enable the right and left it’s going to play a kind of chime to help you locate it I’ll demo that soon and then you can also switch the prompt tone from English simplifi Chinese German and Japanese and you could change the prompt volume as well to you know just have no kind of prompts all the way to the loudest if you lose any of the earbuds you can play a ringtone chime to help you locate
