alright guys I’m making this video just to show the new PlayStation Steel buck controller so this is the second-generation controller and this is just to help you figure out if you know it’s worth it for you to make the upgrade from the original one that came with your ps4 so I’m just gonna open it up give you guys a look so I bought this at Best Buy and I bought it with the they extended warranty now normally I don’t buy anything with a warranty because I try to fix things by myself but you know the the controller the the pads here the joystick sorry you know they have an issue where when you’re running especially if you’re playing for a long time and you play pretty aggressively these get these get worn out and when you run the controller pulls to the right or it pulls to the left so you know I took a look at some of the videos to fix that and it seems pretty involved I didn’t want to take everything apart so I figured you know what I’ll just pay the extra and then anytime I have a problem I can just return it to Best Buy and just get a new controller so you know if you guys experienced that issue often I would recommend that you buy the the extended warranty you know I’ve had two of the first-generation controllers and I that same issue with them and it’s so you know they’re both within within a year and they’ve developed that issue so with this one I have to say you know when it’s when it’s in the package at Best Buy it didn’t look that great you know the color didn’t look that hot but you know I just decided to take a chance I wasn’t that picky right then and now that I actually have been playing with it for a while and I took it out I have to say the colors are it is really nice actually compared to the original one just the just a block the pure block stands out much better than that so you know definitely you know if it doesn’t look that great when you pick it up trust me when you take it home and you know you have the correct lighting it’ll look sharp so one good thing about this that I notice is the battery life is really good I mean it is a new controller so you know you’d expect the battery life to be good but last night I was playing I played for four hours straight you know with uh with a headset plugged in not the one came with the PlayStation the you know like a full full headset I did have vibration turned off that’s just how I play and even at the end of that four hours at the battery it was social in three bars I didn’t even go down to two bars so battery life is is really good on this and it’s a minor thing it’s not that big of a deal but I do notice even though this is a brand new controller anytime I I plug it in to charge it just kind of it just slides in you know much easier I mean it looks looks like I’m having difficulty here but you know it actually slides in really easy and then compared to my old controller when I stick that in it requires a bit more effort even though Ivan you know charging it all the time like this when it kind of just goes in a bit easier and it comes out easier all right so yeah I would say if you’re debating getting the new one definitely get it in you know this color is really nice and if you have that issue it choice exponent to the right or the left you know try to get that extended warranty from Best Buy in terms of you know the the difference between the first generation and second generation you know I can’t really tell any difference you know aside from the obvious the color and on these the light bar is down here and on here the light bar is up here but I mean I don’t I don’t do anything with that so doesn’t matter yeah definitely check it out it doesn’t look that great in the box but you know once you take it out it’s definitely definitely a nice-looking controller feels good and this material here you know compared to this material this is a bit smoother this has a bit more of a matte feel so it feels feels better in your hand it feels like you have more of a grip on it all right so if you liked this video just hit subscribe or give it a like I’m trying to do more videos like this more review videos thanks guys again guys forgot to mention one thing if you’re trying to figure out if it’s a new controller or an old controller you know aside from the color just take a look at the the barcode here so as long as it says to you at the end of it that means it’s the the second-generation one all right so just look for that when you go into store because I’m they do have sales on these controllers every once in a while and I know Costco has it usually cheaper but those are just the first generation once or just look out for that alright guys bye
