Hey guys, here’s a follow up video showing how I’ve mounted my Sony 7-3 with this Sigma 14-24 lens, which is a pretty heavy lens. I’m pretty heavy combo. So what I’ve done is I’ve taken my tripod ball head and with the quick release plate secure to the camera with a 3-8-2-4 inch thread adapter to a small ray clamp which is secured to the sea stand extension arm. I tried putting it on this side of the arm but because it’s so smooth it was just slipping the entire time. If you look at this side here you can see it’s texture so there’s a grip. So once you attach, once you attach the small ray clamp with the rubber grip to that textured area then you have a pretty good grip. Now I had to pretty much tighten it as much as I can. That’s small ray clamp. It’s like it’s super tight.

That’s the only way that I could get this combo to stay without drifting. Okay so if you have a combo that’s this heavy you may want to consider just attaching the camera to the end to the end here to this thread. Let me show you on the other side. It’s a bit difficult to see. You may want to attach it right here. Let me see if I can get a better angle right here. This is going to be much safer. You just won’t have any room to really articulate or change the angle of the camera. You’re going to have to use these adjustments here to rotate everything to get it how I want. Sorry get it how you want. I’m a bit lazy so that’s why I have attached the tripod head and sensor that I could modify you know just adjust these settings to get it exactly how I want it.

So you know if you’re going to be having a lighter set up than this like you know this camera with the 85 millimeter or 50 millimeter. You know pretty much anything is going to be lighter than the signal ends then you’ll have no problem. I’m mounting your camera. All right just quick follow up video. Let me know if you guys have any questions or comments about how this has been working but it’s working well for me. All right thanks bye.
