hey it’s Adrian today I just wanted to give a quick update on my pixel 7 Pro and I am going to be returning this phone because I’m having signal issues with it unfortunately now before I get into the video I’m not saying not to get this one this may be an excellent phone for you you may not experience any of the issues that I am experiencing because when I search online on YouTube I didn’t see anyone else mentioning this issue I’m seeing the opposite that it’s a great phone however I’m having signal issues so I’m not getting full bars number one and I’m getting an exclamation mark next to the bar the only way I can get the exclamation mark to go away is to enable my mobile data which is something I don’t think I should need to do I’ve never had to do that on any other phone that I’ve owned the other thing is even with doing that I’m still not getting full bars and I’ve gone to different locations around the house outside as well same issue I’ve also tried putting in a different SIM card from a different carrier completely to rule out the SIM card issue and I’m still having the same issue where I’m getting that exclamation mark and I’m not getting full bars as soon as I put those SIM cards into my Samsung phone no issues so keep that in mind now when I did go on Reddit I I searched for this issue other people are having the issue they’re saying it sometimes says you know no network available or service not available and they’re getting drop calls or um text not going through and some of them have said they’ve contacted Google and they’re they say they’re aware of it and that a patch is in the works maybe it is I just don’t know a timeline and I don’t want to be stuck with a phone where you know it’s past the return period And there’s not a fix that I can rely on now for some of you this may not be that big of an issue especially if you use your phone a lot on Wi-Fi and calls and texts are not that important to you but for me I use my primary phone a lot for business and for personal use and I can’t trust a phone where when I’m staring at the display it’s showing me an exclamation mark where I’m not getting full bars it doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence so that’s why I’m going to be returning it now I know that I could have just exchanged this phone for another pixel 7 Pro maybe this one’s just faulty but from what I’ve seen online other people have gone through that and it’s the same issue and I just don’t have a lot of confidence you know going through that process if I’m seeing other people have the issue if it was just me no problem I would just exchange it but seeing other people having it as well you know I didn’t want to go down that road here’s the issue I’m talking about so you can see right now if you look in this corner here you can see there’s an exclamation mark next to that like Network signal area by comparison when I put the same SIM card in my s22 ultra there’s no fluctuations on the signal strength and there’s no error or exclamation mark saying that there’s anything wrong with the signal strength and I’m in the same room same area I was thinking about doing a full review because I did promise that in my quick look video to do a full review of the phone but I thought it might be a bit silly because I would put the phone through its Paces properly review it and then at the end of the video when I say can I recommend this I wouldn’t recommend it because if I’m having signal issues right now with a different SIM card you know this phone can’t do the basic thing that a phone should do which is to make a phone call or receive a phone call and I think it would be similar to if I reviewed you know a car and I said hey has all these great features you know dual climate control uh traffic alerts collision avoidance and I say but by the way sometimes the engine does shuts off on you and I didn’t want to make that type of review all that being said I’m still really curious to try a pixel phone for the first time and I’m going to be looking forward to reviewing the pixel 8 Pro hopefully I’m not going to have any of the issues that I had with this one as soon as I insert my SIM card and like I said you know it looks like there’s a lot of people who have no issues with this phone unfortunately me I wasn’t one of them and maybe a small handful of people that I’ve seen online as well but let me know if you have this phone are you having any type of issues or has it been you know a great experience for you so far also let me know what carrier you’re using I’m in Canada I’m using kudu which is a sub brand from Telus and the other SIM card I tried was from Virgin which is a sub brand from Bell but for whatever reason I just wasn’t getting a strong signal but I look forward to hearing what you guys have to say in the comments and I’ll see you soon bye
