Intro
hey it’s Adrian and today I’m going to be reviewing the brand new Samsung Galaxy s25 Ultra but with a Twist because I’m going to be putting this up against the s24 ultra and the zold 6 in a bunch of different areas like thermals gaming performance camera performance charging and more now this is not a sponsored video Samsung didn’t send any of these phones out to me I purchased them with my own money so let’s get into the video and the first thing I want to talk about are the design changes so the
Design
s25 ultra is on the left side and you could tell because it has rounded off Corners compared to the squared corners on the s24 ultra it’s also coming in at around 14 G lighter than on the s24 ultra and it’s also about 0.4 mm thinner the screen size on the s25 ultra has been increased by1 in bringing it to 6.9 in compared to the 6.8 in on the s24 ultra we also have the same anti-reflective coating that was found on the s24 ultra and the s25 ultra is now made of Corning Gorilla armor 2 compared to Corning gorilla armor on the s24 ultra both screens are perfectly flat which is what I prefer but there is one strange change here and that is the camera module on the s24 ultra the camera modules are flush with the rear case but on the s25 ultra the camera modules actually stick out a little bit and there’s actually a small gap between the camera lens housing and the back of the case that can trap a lot of dirt and dust it’s a strange design choice so on the s24 ultra when looked at from a top down view it’s nice and symmetrical and really easy to pop out however with the s25 ultra when looked top down you could see that the S Pen actually protrudes or juts out more on the left side than on the right side and that’s due to the curvature of Decay so it doesn’t sit nice and flush or consistent from right to left now maybe that’s not something that bothers you but it definitely sticks out as an ey sword to me however this in no way affects your ability to take the Spen out here’s a quick look at
Specs
the specs feel free to pause or jump ahead to the next section so the brand
CPU
new Snapdragon 8 Elite is about 30% more powerful than the previous generation Snapdragon 8 gen 3 that’s on the s24 ultra and s25 Ultra but realistically with any of these phones you could have a ton of apps open in the background you can easily switch between apps now when I was loading up games for the first time all of the phones were loading the games up you know within a half second or about a second of each other now the s25 ultra was definitely the winner but but only by a slight margin so that’s not enough of a reason to upgrade all of
Screen
these phones have fantastic screens things that that Dynamic AMOLED with up to 120 HZ refresh rate now the max Peak brightness on all these screens is 2600 nits so you can easily use these phones in direct sunlight without any issue the Zol 6 does have the edge because it has that large 7.6 in inner display that let to easily multitask and get a little bit more functionality when using things like the camera app or if you you want to take high resolution selfies you could just use the rear cameras and then use the front screen as a display one small thing I noticed is that when flicking through or swiping through different apps the s25 ultra does have a smoother animation it just seems a bit
Benchmarks
more responsive geekbench the s25 ultra had a 22.6% improvement over the s24 ultra in single core and a 19.1% improvement over the zold 6 and single core as well and in geekbench multicore the s25 ult ra had a 41.1% improvement over the s24 ultra in multicore and a 39.5% improvement over the zold 6 in geekbench GPU benchmarks the s25 ultra had a 28.6% improvement over the s24 ultra and a 33.6% improvement over the zold 6 after running a bunch of 3D Mark tests the s25 ultra had an average Improvement of 42.1% over the s24 ultra scores and a 30 9.5% average improvement over the zold 6
Gaming
when gaming in Call of Duty mobile and genin impact I was able to hit the max frame rates on all of the phones easily even with Max Graphics settings applied but the s25 ultra was the only phone that was able to sustain that Max of 50 frames per second average all of the time or most of the time whereas the s24 ultra and zold 6 would dip below 60 frames per second while gaming and gench and impact and that was due to the adreno 830 GPU on the S2 5 Ultra which is about 37% faster than the adreno 750 on the s24 ultra and zold 6 so you’ll be able to play the majority of mobile games at high graphic settings on any of these phones but the s25 ultra does Take the Lead because it could sustain those High frames per second more consistently than the other phones but there is an argument to be made for the zold 6 because you do have a larger screen you can get a bit more immersed in the game you could see more on the screen at a
Thermals
time so even with the 40% larger Vapor chamber around the s25 ultra I don’t think it made that much of a difference and here’s what I mean after playing Call of Duty mobile for 30 minutes on the highest Graphics settings the s25 ultra had a temperature reading of 37° C the s24 ultra had a temperature reading of 38.5 de C the zold 6 came in at 36.4 de doing the best of all the phones and after 25 minutes of playing genin impact at the highest graphic settings the s25 ultra had a temperature reading of 43° C the s24 ultra had a temperature reading of 45° c and a zold 6 had a temperature reading of 43° c and after running various benchmarks the Zol 6 did the best again due to having a larger surface area to dissipate heat so that 40% larger Vapor chamber really doesn’t seem to be doing that much I’m noticing about 1 to 2° of difference and that could even come down to Silicon lottery or within margin of error but if you guys are noticing you know something differently than me and you’re noticing a much better Improvement in thermal on the s25 ultra I would be curious to hear
Cameras
that in the comments Down Below in terms of the camera setup so it’s largely the same between both of the ultra phones the only notable difference is that on the s25 ultra the ultra wide lens is now 50 megapixels versus 12 megapixels on the s24 ultra so that will come in handy if you want to kind of you know like crop in or zoom in on images so the camera experience on the ultra phones is one of the best and people are blown away every time I show them that super versatile focal range you can go from Ultra wide capturing everything in the shot or you could get right in on the action with the super telephoto all at the same time retaining great clarity and detail the images from the s25 ultra and s24 Ultra look great they have nice colors great detail and I really think it’s going to come down to personal preference sometimes I prefer the s25 images sometimes I prefer the s24 images for night photos I noticed the s25 ultra brightens the image up a little bit more and usually handles highlights a little better than the s24 ultra but it can also make the colors a bit more muted because it is lightening them up a bit more the zold 6 takes noticeably grainier images than the ultra phones and can’t really compete videos are also nicely stabilized they look great colors pop when you record in 4k on all of the phones but the s25 ultra has one advantage which is that anytime you’re shooting 8K 30 frames per second video you can actually record in Ultra wide wide or 5x but on the s24 ultra you can only record in 5 5x and wide so yeah you really won’t go wrong and you can’t beat the focal versatility on the ultra phones but the only reason I see you needing to upgrade to the s25 ultra is if you need that 50 megapixel Ultra wide if you’re going to be shooting 8K at 30 frames per second now if you’re just taking photos as long as you’re not like zooming in and checking details very critically the 12 megapixel Ultra wide is going to do a good enough job that you don’t need to get the 50 megapix Ultra wide the s25 ultra has
Battery
about a 5 to 10% Improvement in battery life over my s24 ultra but keep in mind my s24 ultra probably does have some level of battery degradation because I have been using it as my main phone for the past year but I did Run 3D Mark for about an hour and 20 minutes on all three of the phones and in that time the s25 ultra used 6.4% battery while the s24 ultra used 99.6% battery and the fold 6 used 12.6% battery now the reason the fold 6 use that much battery is because I have had the phone unfolded so you can easily get 8 plus hours of screen on time having the variable refresh rate on her highest resolution and fairly High screen brightness so the s25 ultra Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is definitely going to give you more battery life but consider that the s24 ultra was already a phone that could give you dayong use so unless you really need you know a little bit more than dayong use it’s really not a reason to upgrade to the s25 ultra and while both of the ultra phones have a 5,000 mAh battery in the zold 6 has a 4,400 mAh battery it is actually possible to get just as good of battery life or even better on the zold 6 if you primarily use the outer display which is much smaller and requires less battery power
Charging Speeds
to power it and when the battery is dead a 25-minute charge will get you to about 54% on the s75 ultra and I notice a peak charging speed of 41 W in wi mode on the s24 ultra a 25-minute charge will get you to around 41% and I notic is a 31 W Peak charge and on the zold 6 a 25-minute charge will get you to 43% with a 23 W Peak charge with the s25 ultra I hit 41 watt so that’s great to see now in terms of wireless charging it’s still capped to 15 watts on all of
S Pen
the phones the Spen experience has definitely been downgraded on the s25 ultra since the Spen doesn’t have Bluetooth functionality now maybe you care about that maybe you don’t but I’m one of the few people who actually use the S SP to REM mostely trigger the camera shutter and you could also hold down the button to do a burst shot if you’re taking like a group photo people are blinking and then you could just double press the button to switch between the rear cameras and the selfie camera so for me it’s a pretty big downgrade to you know have good functionality that really didn’t need to be shaved off but let me know what you

Below in terms of now brief I’m not really seeing much value in this there’s not a lot of information on here even though I’ve enabled everything and if I want to just like pull down to get different information or for this to be refreshed nothing actually happened so I’ve just found myself you know swiping over and looking at the curated Google news that I find that much more interesting than now brief at least in
AI
its current state in terms of the AI functionality I did use Google Gemini but my experience was kind of the same as with the s24 ultra when it was announced I used the features then just kind of got bored or forgot about them not something I use day today now I do use chat GPT and more recently deep seek and those just provide better context they know exactly what I’m talking about what’s missing from that is the ability for them to integrate into Android to toggle settings on my phone now Google Gemini is supposed to do that it’s still not there for me yet and I just don’t find Google Gemini to be as advanced as using chat GPT or deep seek so yeah maybe in a couple years it’s going to be more usable but for me it’s just not a major Sol point so if you have the s24

ultra to the zold 6 should you be upgrading to the s25 ultra well the s25 ultra did have higher geekbench and 3D Mark performance The Thermals were only a couple of degrees better and again within margin of error from the s24 ultra even with the 40% larger Vapor chamber but the adreno 830 is definitely faster and able to sustain High frame rates better than on the s24 ultra and zold 6 but it’s not really a reason to upgrade if you’re already running those games on on your current phone without any issues battery life is about 5 to 10% better on the s25 ultra than on the s24 ultra thanks to the the more efficient Snapdragon 8 Elite chip however the faster charging speed is noteworthy if you use wire charging a lot but maybe you like the new look and the fact that it’s a little bit lighter and you actually do use the AI functionality on here and you really don’t care about the handicapped spin but when you pair it with the faster charging speed and slightly better battery life maybe all of those changes are meaningful enough for you but I’m really curious to hear what you guys think will you be upgrading to the s25 ultra I will be keeping this because I have a bunch of cases to review for the s25 ultra but if I didn’t I would be perfectly happy with the s24 ultra and my fully functional spin if you’re interested in picking up the s25 ultra I’ll leave links in the video description and pin comments and if you need a case for it I’ll also leave those pinned as well but yeah if you guys found this video helpful or useful please consider liking and subscribing truly does help me out as a small and growing Channel and if you like Tech in general consider checking out some of my other reviews I review headphones earbuds monitors security cameras mechanical keyboards basically everything I think you’ll find something you like and I really hope to see you in my next video soon
