– Intro

today i’m going to be reviewing the philips sonicare diamondclean smart electric toothbrush this electric toothbrush retails for around 200 to 230 canadian or us dollars depending on any current promotions when you buy the brush it comes with two brush heads a wireless charging base and a carrying case there’s also an app that you can download and it pairs over bluetooth and what it does is it monitors your brushing habits and gives you suggestions depending on if you’re spending too much time in an area to less time in an area or you’re pressing too hard the brush can also detect when you attach specific brush heads so if you buy a brush head for gum health or for gentle brushing and you attach it to the toothbrush it’ll automatically pick that brushing mode you can expect around 14 days of use on a full charge now let’s get into some of the specific features of this toothbrush and why i prefer this toothbrush over the oral b electric toothbrushes one of the features i really love about this toothbrush is the ability to charge it wirelessly now you can expect to get the same type of wireless charging speed you get with a cell phone so if you’re gonna charge it i recommend leaving it overnight when you go to bed another great feature that separates this toothbrush from oral b2 brushes is that it uses sonic waves to help keep your mouth clean as opposed to the oral b2 brushes that use an oscillating type of movement stick around and i’ll show you a demonstration of what this looks like
– Water Displacement Demo

[Music] [Music] you can see that the rapid vibrations being generated by the toothbrush are the key to the sonic wave technology working as the brush touches the water you can see how much it disrupts the water when i pull it out now just imagine that going in between the teeth and it generating that amount of force to disrupt or remove plaque in between teeth and you can see why i think it’s a superior brush to oral the oscillating type movements i want to mention that while the toothbrush has come with different brushing modes that vary in intensity it is a weird sensation to have something vibrating in your mouth at up to 62 000 movements per minute so if you’re used to an oscillating type toothbrush it may take a while for you to get used to it but after a couple of weeks you should be fine if you have any questions about this toothbrush please leave a comment below and i’ll try my best to answer see you in the next video you
