– Intro
hey it’s adrian from dem crumley’s tech and today i’m reviewing the philips upbeat uh 202 bluetooth headphones um so headphones are not something i normally review they’re kind of pretty much all the same but i wanted to share my experience with these because these were a great price and they offer a lot of value i paid about 20 canadian for these which is crazy and it has some pretty good features that make it worthwhile so let’s get into those and you can see if it’s worth it for you too
– Build Quality
so um when you look at the actual build quality it’s it’s decent it’s like pretty lightweight at 145 grams 0.3 pounds it is adjustable which is pretty standard um it does have kind of like a foam cushion here if you’re going to be wearing it for a while um the cups they are cushioned too you can see they have some padding and then in terms of the buttons on here so there’s a power button here and a led light to let you know that it’s paired you have the charging port here unfortunately it’s not a type c port so charging is not as fast and then you have buttons here to advance the track go back or pause it so there’s no volume adjustment on here so that has to be done on your device like your phone computer or whatever
– Comfort
okay so in terms of comfort um you can see this has a pretty you know strong curve and if you um adjust it out you know it’s still a pretty significant curve so like these are comfortable for i would say like two to three hours of wearing them after that if you have a bigger bigger head like me then um it becomes less comfortable this is also not comfortable if you wear glasses because once you put it on um it kind of presses the frame of the glasses into the side of your head so if you wear glasses these may not be for you unless you like you know open it all the way to like the max and have it kind of loose like that um otherwise you know two to three hours i would say is the max for these okay so
– Battery Life
um the cups you can see they do swivel inwards if you need to pack them which is good but the standout feature on these that really makes it worth the price for me is the battery life so you know unlike the small bluetooth um earbuds that you put in your ears because this is a bigger unit i get like 14 to 15 hours of battery life on this and i usually have the volume maxed out so which is pretty great and charging it just takes maybe like two to three hours depending on how much of the battery i’ve used
Sound Quality & Loudness
so one thing that’s probably make or break for these is the loudness so i think philips has probably capped like the loudness of these so it’s not super loud because even with it maxed listening to certain things the volume is really low so what i’m going to do is i’m going to pair it with my phone play like a video and then you can hear what the max labnet sounds like okay so now i’m going to just put the headphones right up to the microphone they are they are at the maximum volume so you can see what that sounds like the wheels are a hard plastic type of material so it’s not rubber wheels okay okay so you can see the sound is
Summary
decent it’s not too low and it’s not really high i’d say these are like great for casual use like i just put them on while i’m browsing i have youtube up and i’m doing some other stuff they’re great for that um for music listening you know you’re not going to get the best sound experience it sounds like you’re going to get punchy bass super clear audio if you’re looking for that then you know pass on these but if you’re just looking for like work horse headphones you know you can kind of beat them up throw them around for the price that these are and you know that you could get through like one or two days of you know full days of listening like 14 to 15 hours of audio they’re a great buy for that all right so if you found this video helpful please consider liking it subscribing you know i’m always doing these kind of like gear or tech review videos so if you’re interested in that i’d like to see in the next video you
