hey it’s adrian from them crumbly tech and today i’m reviewing the cinco lav s6 microphone so this just retails for about 20 canadian or around like 15 us so it’s pretty cheap but let’s take a look at what the sound quality is like

okay so in the package you get this carrying case you get a big wind muff here two smaller wind muffs a 3.5 millimeter adapter to 6.3 you get these two lr44 batteries that it works with there’s a a clip here for your shirt like a spare and then you also have the unit itself so looking at the unit um it’s like a metal metal build quality um there’s a switch here to switch from phone to camera so you don’t have to buy an extra cable so this will work with phones um or cameras so here’s the connection for your phone or camera and then finally you have the um the live unit so pretty standard size not too big and you can just pop in whichever wind muff you want the big one for outdoors or just um the small ones so in terms of putting the battery you would just unscrew this here and you can see right here that’s where you just put in those two batteries so the next video you hear all the sound is going to be from the um s6 unit so let’s see what that sounds like

okay so i’m back and the audio you’re hearing is from the single lab s6 so when i put the battery in i noticed that it only takes one battery so they do ship you with a spare the cable length is about six meters long so you know i have no problem running it from the camera under the table under my shirt no problem there there is no power light on the mic body so you’re not going to really know when you know the battery is low or anything like that because there’s no indicator light however as soon as you plug it in it’s it’s on anyway as long as there’s a battery in there you just have to make sure the mode is set correctly so make sure if you’re using a camera it’s on camera if you’re using a phone it’s on the phone and like i said before this cable is going to work on both cameras and phones so you’re not going to need to buy a separate adapter if you’re using it for an iphone though you know if it’s a newer iphone then you are going to need um some kind of adapter if you have no 3.5 millimeter port but let me know what you guys think of the audio and i’m just going to stop the video review the audio and see what it sounds like myself and then i’ll come back with my conclusion all right i’m back i
My Thoughts
listen to the audio and it sounds good for a 20 dollar mic so if you’re just starting on youtube like me or you’re going to be using your phone for vlogging um it’s a great option for the price i do want to mention though that if you are going to be using this with a phone um keep in mind that a lot of phones even when you record video and you have something like this plugged in the phone’s app still defaults to using the phone’s built-in mic which is why a lot of people buy stuff like this they review their video the audio and they say nothing has changed and the reason is because it’s still using the built-in mic so for android users specifically there’s an app called open camera so if you go on the app store you download that app it lets you specify the audio source and that’s where you can pick that you want to use the 3.5 millimeter port or whatever you have plugged in and then you should see a difference iphone users i don’t have an iphone so i’m not sure what the app is they would do something like that for iphones hopefully there’s something like that but if you notice that issue that’s most likely what it is is that the phone’s using a built-in mic still my lav mic is connected to my camera it’s a sony a7 iii and the sound sounds pretty good straight out so i mean if you have the same camera it’s an option for you so if you found this video helpful please consider liking and subscribing and i’ll see you in the next one bye you
