If you’re looking for an impressive sounding pair of headphones that come in at a great price as well, you have to check out Rosels’s Cambrian A&C headphones. They have 40mm composite woodfire diaphragm drivers and they also have LDAC high-res wireless audio. You can connect these via Bluetooth and they also support multipoint so you can connect them to your phone and laptop at the same time. You can also use a 3.5 mm audio cable to plug it into your phone laptop so you never have to worry about battery life. But they also have amazing battery life at up to 100 hours or 4 days thanks to a large 750 mAh battery. There’s also active noise cancellation, a low latency gaming mode and an IPX4 rating. But let’s see how well they perform and if these could be your very next pair of headphones.

Design
headphones come in at around 272 grams and it comes in three colors which are black, ashy blue and ashy gray. In terms of design, these are really nice looking headphones and they actually look much better in person than the photos I saw online. So these are overear headphones and you can see if I do a side view here just how thick and plush these actual ear pad cushions are and they have a kind of cool touch to them when you go ahead and run your fingers along them. Now, on the right ear cup, we have the plus and minus uh volume button. We also have a power button. We have a 3.5 mm headphone jack, an LED light, various microphone ports, and an A&C button. And the left ear cup has a USB type-C port to charge these up.
The outside of the ear cup has this matte type of finish, which plays really nicely with the light. And then we have this shiny or glossy plastic that covers the aluminum alloy frame in the headband. And we do have some like markings here so you can line it up exactly as you like. Now the top of the headband where it’s going to rest on your head. This is again very plush just like with the ear cup material. And we do have this matte type of finish again here. So it just comes along, you know, really nicely in terms of the overall design. You can also swivel the ear cups in just like so for just easier carrying. And you can fold them flat as well. Overall really nice design. And these also have an IPX4

Bluetooth Pairing
pair the Cambrian headphones for the first time by Bluetooth. So, I’ll press and hold the power button and I’ll wait until I see flashing LED indicator lights flashing really quickly. Confirm the pairing prompt. And they’re now connected for calls and audio. I’ll repeat the same process to connect these to my ZFold 7 since we do have multipoint support. Let’s do a quick

Connectivity
You can connect the Cambrian headphones by Bluetooth or with the 3.5 mm ox cable. The USB type-C port is strictly for charging, not for audio transfer.
Roselink App Settings
Let’s take a look at the Rose Link app settings. So, as soon as you open it up, you can go ahead and connect the Camrian headphones and we could see the current battery life. Now you can search the ANC’s from general ANC, wind mode, normal mode or transparency mode. And then under the equalizers, we have a pop, hi-fi, and rock equalizer. You can also turn on game mode. So you have, you know, lower latency. And you can also enable or disable the dual device connection mode. Now, in terms of the codecs, we do have AAC or SBC and LDAC codec. You’ll want LDAC if your phone supports it for the highest possible quality. You can also use the find device feature and it’s just going to play a audible beep.
Under touch settings, you could remap the controls for the volume down and volume up button independently. So the default is a single click on volume down is going to lower the volume of course or you can remap it to any of these other options. And you can see the double click, triple click has nothing set. So you can set you know previous track, next track, etc. or no function. You can also disable physical button controls as well. Under lab features, you can set the notification sound level for the headphones. You can upgrade the firmware. And if you tap on the square tab, there’s a white noise feature where you could play various type of white noises. And these actually stack on each
Controls
other, which is really cool. In terms of button control, so if I tap on the A&C button, it’s going to cycle through the various A&C modes. A single tap on volume up will increase or decrease volume. And you could long press on either of these to quickly increase or decrease volume. Now, I’ve set mine so that a double tap on the volume up is going to jump ahead to the next track, which you could see loading right there, and a double tap on volume down is going to go to the previous track. Pressing and holding the A and C button for two seconds is going to pull up your voice assistant. Single pressing the power button will pause or resume music playback. And if you press this five times quickly, it’s going to put it into game mode or exit it out of game mode. All right,
Sound
let’s talk sound. So, these are using a 40 mm composite wood fiber diaphragm driver, and we also have support for LDAC for high-res wireless audio. Now, additionally, you can plug in a 3.5 mm headphone jack if you want even better quality sound, but I’ll be sharing my experience mostly listening to these over Bluetooth. So, I did turn LDAC on in the Bluetooth settings on my phone for the headphones, and I made sure I turned it on in the app as well. I mostly use the hi-fi equalizers out of the three available equalizers and unfortunately there’s no option to create a custom equalizer. However, the hi-fi equalizer was plenty enough for me to really enjoy these. So, the overall tuning is fairly well balanced on these. These are not bass heavy headphones or headphones made for bass headsets.
If you’re looking for that, you’re not going to find it here. But the bass that is there is very impactful. It feels present. You get a little bit of that bass thump. It hits quick and it isn’t, you know, kind of lingering around. And it’s not that boommy type of bass that muddies into other frequencies. So, it’s very well done. Mids came through cleanly and pristinely and sounded forward and close, great for vocal prominent music. And again, because of that balanced tuning, you get a lot of detail in the mids without any type of siblance or harshness. So, these will be no problem for those with sensitive ears. Eyes also came through with nice detail, just the right amount of sparkle without ever sounding too shrill or harsh.
and I was able to get that feeling of separation and openness when listening to the right songs. Overall, the tuning is just wonderfully done on these. There’s no frequency that really overpowers the other like you might find with some, you know, cheaper type of headphones where it has, you know, a ton of bass at the expense of muddy or, you know, less clear vocals or mids. It seems like the focus here was really on audio clarity above all else thanks to the balanced tuning. And this actually will work great for a wide variety of music because of the balanced tuning. These also get plenty loud at max volume. So, if you ever need to drown out any type of background noise, these will easily do it again thanks to that nice seal on here. Here’s an example of
Microphone
what microphone audio sounds like coming out of the Roselsa Cambrian headphones. I’m in a very quiet room with little to no ambient noise. ANC
noise as well. >> The ANC performance is actually pretty good on these. Part of that is due to the really good fit and seal that you get with these thanks to the cushions kind of being able to conform and adapt to the shape of your head. Once I turned ANC on, it did reduce a lot of the background ambient noise. So, this is going to be better suited for, you know, kind of low frequency noises, like say you’re in a plain cabin or something like that. But if the frequencies are a little bit on the higher end, that will still come through except it’ll be a little bit more muffled. Again, thanks to the good seal and the ANC doing the job. So, the NCA is good. It’s not the best that I’ve used though. Now, the transparency mode works fantastic.
I was able to hear everything around me and carry on a conversation regardless of the mode I chose in the app.
Gaming
Sound latency was pretty good when enabling game mode, and I had no problems dominating in Call of Duty
Sound Leak?
Mobile. Sound leakage is very well controlled, and you could see on this mannequin head that the ear pad cushions conform nicely all the way around. Now, I did test these out at various volume levels, and I could really only hear anything if I was at around 60 to 70% or higher. Keep in mind, I’m in a very quiet room. So, if you’re on a bus out and about walking in a busy or, you know, kind of noisy coffee shop, most people will really not hear anything till you get probably at around 80% volume or higher. And they have to be very close up to you. So, yeah, sound leak, very well controlled. The battery
Battery
life has been standout on these. So, it’s rated for up to 100 hours or a little over 4 days. That’s with&c off. Now, part of that is due to the large 750 mAh batteries in here, but whenever these do go down, it just takes about an hour to get them fully charged up. Now,
Comfort
I found these extremely comfortable for hours of wear at a time. Even with my glasses on, I didn’t feel like it was clamping too much, and it stayed on nice and secure. Now, I can see some people finding this a little bit on the heavier side at around 272 g. Part of that is due to the really nice construction on here. It’s solid. It doesn’t feel cheap, and there’s also those larger 750 mAh
Considerations
batteries. Now, while I’ve loved using the Cambrian ANC headphones, there’s one thing that I wish could be changed, maybe in a future firmware update. So, anytime you do a volume up or volume down, you’ll hear a little beep indicating that you press the button. This is perfectly fine with me. A lot of brands do this. However, when you’re switching between the various A and C modes or the equalizers, there’s a spoken alert that comes over the headphones letting you know kind of what mode you’re in. Now, there’s other brands that do this, but I find it’s a little bit too long on here to the point where it kind of distracts me and pulls me out of the listening experience.
Now, they do have an option in the app under lab features where you can lower, you know, kind of the volume of this alert, but it just lasts a long enough time where I find it very distracting. So, it’s something I hope they can change in a firmware update. But, I mean, once you get it kind of dialed in, you have your favorite EQ, you’re always in ANC, maybe it’s not really that big of a deal if you’re not always like tinkering with

the app settings. So, should you get the Rosalsa Cambrian A&C headphones? And I’d say if the brand name is kind of giving you pause, don’t let it. This was not a brand I had heard about up until about a year ago. And when I tried their first earbuds, the i5s, I could not believe the sound coming out of them for the price that they cost. And the Cambrian headphones are no exception to that. Now, if you jump on Amazon, you’re going to find a ton of headphone brands. There’s probably hundreds with names that you may not be able to pronounce. These are not the same as those. These are great sounding headphones. Build quality is fantastic. You’re getting up to 100 hours of battery life. You have multi-point support. You can connect these in Bluetooth or with a 3.5 mm wired cable.
